Synopsis
Alchemy is a pseudo-science that attempts to create gold from various different combinations. One experiment to do so artificially brings to life a race of creatures known as the Chemies, made to imitate things that exist in the world, such as grasshoppers. Stored in Ride Chemie Cards, they were accidentally released all at once. Houtarou Ichinose is entrusted with the Gotcha Driver and the mission to recollect the Chemies. Some are friendly, and Houtarou can fuse with them to transform into Kamen Rider Gotchard. However, if influenced by human malice, they may birth monsters known as the Malgam. This is a story that explores the nature of good and evil, which are two sides of the same coin.

In order to save the drama club, Houtaro and his friends decide to help put on a performance of "Romeo and Juliet". Mikuriya, the head of the club, selects Houtaro to play Romeo, while Seina, a transfer student and childhood friend of Houtaro, runs for the role of Juliet, while Rinne is put off by the fact that she is not a member of the club.
Rinne is bothered by Houtaro and Seina's sudden closeness. Atropos appears, sees through Rinne's emotional turmoil, and unleashes a Malgam. Rinne desperately defends Seina who is nearby...!

The village chief is found in a grisly state, and the villagers assume it is the work of Starshine Hoshino and make a big fuss. They lock Hoshino and his apprentice Kajiki in a warehouse.
Kajiki would never attack anyone. As Houtaro and the others begin their search for the real culprit, a new Malgam appears. Houtarou transforms into Gotchard, but he feels something strange about the Malgam's behavior. What is this discomfort? And what is the truth behind the incident...!?
Episode 28 : It's Licking Bizarre! Renge Visits Home!

Renge, who was visiting her grandmother's village, informs Houtaro and the others that a yokai has appeared and she wants them to come immediately. In that village, a man named Starshine Hoshino, who calls himself a specialist in exterminating yokai, appears, and his apprentice is Kajiki!?
Houtaro and Rinne arrive in the village and immediately discover the yokai! Houtaro transforms into Gotchard...!
Episode 27 : Gotcha! X Hopper!

Houtaro, Rinne, and Supana transform into Riders in front of Geryon, who tries to open the dark door! Geryon also transforms into Dread and tries to steal the Gotchardriver.
However, Iron Gotchard soon reaches the limit of his strength and is attacked by Dread, causing him to untransform. Geryon gets the Gotchardriver and finally opens the door to darkness...!?

Geryon has unleashed the deadliest Malgam to open the door to darkness. Rinne and Supana transform into Riders to face him, but they are cornered by his powerful force.
Houtaro transforms into Iron Gotchard to save them. They go head-to-head, but gradually his strength is depleted and he is unable to transform. Just when all seemed to be lost, Fuga appears.

Episode 25 : The Faults of a Young Sensei

Houtaro transforms into Iron Gotchard, but his physical strength is depleted and the transformation is canceled. He is saved by Fuga, the father of Rinne, who suddenly appears and escapes from the battle with Dread Type One.
Fuga explains about "an incident" that occurred 10 years ago, which is the reason why Minato abandoned Houtaro and the others to follow Geryon. Houtaro and the others, who understand Minato's true intentions, confront him once again...!
Episode 24 : A Sudden Twist! The Forbidden Steel Rider!

Houtaro and the others are overjoyed to receive a letter from Minato saying that he will take down Geryon. They immediately rush to the location Minato has designated, but suddenly a new Malgam appears. Houtaro is deprived of all his cards except for Steamliner.
He is unable to transform into Gotchard. Houtaro still wants his cards back, so he consults with Kyoka and learns that there is only one way to transform, though it is a forbidden technique...

Houtaro and Rinne try to stop Zukyumpire, who steals energy from people. Then, Renge and others bring one of the Zukyumpire worshippers, Yui, to the scene.
Houtaro and the others, after hearing from Yui about the circumstances surrounding Zukyumpire, desperately try to persuade him. When Zukyumpire learns that he has been tormenting people, he is devastated, and at the same time, something strange happens around him. At the same time, strange happenings occur around them, and Clotho shows up to take advantage of them..!

Houtaro drives the runaway Wheel Malgam into de-transformation with the power of Fire Gotchard. However, Supana stubbornly shuts his mind, saying to Houtaro and the others, "This is my battle," and remains engulfed in black flames.
Houtaro and the others support Kyoka in making a new driver for Supana. They continue working on it through the night, but now Geryon's evil hand is closing in on Kyoka..!
Episode 20 : Smiling Angel, Unfunny Joke

Kyoka arrives to see Houtaro and the others. Kyoka, who claims to be Supana's teacher, begins to talk about Supana's past, which even Houtarou and the others did not know. "It all started 10 years ago..."
At that time, Supana's parents appear before him, worried that he will never be as strong as Houtaro and Rinne. Supana is happy to see his parents again after a long time, but...!?
Episode 19 : The Dawn of Rinne! Transform, Majade!

Houtaro and his friends are in high spirits once they formed the Kitchen Ichinose Alliance. However, Rinne is still dispirited as she wonder if this is the 'rules' she had to follow as an alchemist.
While Rinne is elated to know that Fuga is in fact not a traitor at all, Minato suddenly comes to her and invited her back into the academy! While this might be the right thing to do as an alchemist, Rinne is shaken by her former teacher's invitation. Meanwhile, Atropos arrives with a new Malgam and ordered the Malgam to exclusively attack Rinne. With Gotchard struggling, Rinne is cornered!

Houtaro and Rinne are disappointed in a world where not only the Alchemy Academy, but also their teacher Minato does not exist. The Moon Malgam then appears in front of the two and mocks Rinne where it takes her into the shadows.

Gotchard Daybreak then replies. "I will transport you to the past."

A suprising development awaits Houtarou and co. as a person starts to move after Geryon's revival...

Supana returns to his master Kyoka Edami to have her repair his Valvarusher, which was heavily damaged during his battles with the Three Dark Sisters. As he arrives in her laboratory, he becomes intrigued by the blueprints of a new weapon she is developing.
A giant snake suddenly appears from the sky and attacks people with its petrification rays. Houtaro transforms into Gotchard and confronts the snake, who speaks in an eerie voice.

Clotho captures a Level 10 Chemy for the Three Dark Sisters and subjects it to their creepy experiments, bringing them closer to completion of "something".
Meanwhile, Kugimiya and Harima from the Alchemys Union arrive at the academy and warn the students that there may be a mole within their ranks. However before he begins investigating on who the possible mole is, he heavily criticizes Houtarou's fighting style as a Kamen Rider.

Hijiri, whom Kajiki is in love with, has a boyfriend! Although Kajiki is depressed, he learnt that Hijiri boyfriend is most likely the remaining suspect who made his escape after Clotho attacked the police van!

Houtarou and his group from Furasu High School go on a school trip to Kyoto. Houtarou is assigned to a group study with Rinne and Kajiki, and by chance Kajiki meets a girl named Hijiri, and they hit it off. They immediately become attracted to each other.
At the same time, one of the Three Dark Sisters, Clotho, was also sighted in Kyoto in order to obtain something. But Clotho happens to see Houtarou and the others, and in her anger, she creates a new Malgam...!

A mysterious man appears in front of Supana after tracking him. He changes into a Malgam before attacking the former and Houtarou. Supana then transforms into Valvarad and counters, and so does Houtarou into Gotchard, but the Malgam escapes after Valvarad's counterattacks.
However, the man, who is set on overthrowing Supana, kidnaps Rinne in front of Houtarou in order to lure his nemesis out.

Seeking the teachings of Renge and Sabimaru who has sealed away a lot of Chemies, Houtarou and Rinne go to a certain professional wrestling Dojo with Renge and the others.

In front of a confused Rinne and the others, Houtarou borrowed Renge cards and transformed into Gotchard! However this time, a powerful Malgam suddenly appears!

Houtarou can't help but exclaim in admiration at Valvarad's powerful might. However, Spanner says that he didn't acknowledge Houtarou as a Kamen Rider and leaves.
Houtarou and Rinne, who continue their search for Chemies, come face to face with the Three Dark Sisters, Atropos, Clotho and Lachesis. Lachesis then absorbs a Chemy and transforms into Malgam. Houtarou transforms into Gotchard, but immediately after that, they are sent to a huge, different space!

Houtarou continues his quest to befriend all the Chemies as he meets a Chemy known as Apparebushido, and is given his card by Minato.
A new Malgam appears and Houtarou attempts to fight it using Apparebushido, but it defies orders and causes Houtarou to be defeated.

In the other space, a mysterious man entrusts Houtarou with a Driver, saying it is his hope for the future. Then an enemy attacks!

Fenix, a governmental organization opposing the Deadmans, have developed the Revice Driver for someone with complete control over their inner demon. Twenty-two years after the disappearance of his father, Wataru Kurenai lives in an infamous "haunted house" where he is destined as Kamen Rider Kiva to fight life-draining monsters called Fangires, the very race his father fought years ago before his disappearance. Wataru must also deal with Kamen Rider Ixa who is part of an organization seeking to destroy the Fangire menace, as well as the Fangires' own Rider, Kamen Rider Saga. The story is split between the actions of Wataru in the present (2008-09) and his father Otoya in the past (1986-87), slowly revealing the link between the Fangire Race and Kiva.

One day out of the blue, a faint-hearted boy named Ryōtarō Nogami picks up a pass to the time-travelling train, Den Liner. Ryōtarō then becomes Kamen Rider Den-O to fight the invaders from the future, Imagin.

Season 15
The Kamen Riders, known as Oni, battle man eating beasts called Makamou with "pure sound". One of the Oni, a man named Hibiki ends up having a teacher and apprentice-like relationship with Asumu Adachi. A young boy unsure of himself and is at a crossroads in his life as he transitions to high school, Asumu learns to be an adult through watching Hibiki and the other Oni as they all train together to hone their skills in fighting the Makamou and the homunculi aiding them. However, the sudden raise of Makamou numbers proves to be a prelude to an upcoming calamity.
Season 14
Ten thousand years ago, fifty-two demons—the Undead—partook in a Battle Royal to decide which species would inherit the Earth. The winner was the Human Undead, and thus dominion of the Earth was given to Humanity.
In the present day, archeologists discovered the sealed Undead, and accidentally released them. To counter this threat, the Board Of Archaeological Research Department–BOARD–equips two young men with the Rider System. As a new Battle Royal begins, who will emerge the victor?

While travelling, Inui Takumi is involved in an incident revolving around what is known as Faiz Gear. Before long, he awakens into a rider that fights the Orphnoch. However, he himself was also an Orphnoch.
Season 12
Thirteen Card Decks were created for thirteen Kamen Riders. They make Contracts with monsters from the mysterious Mirror World, a parallel dimension opposite to our own in which only the Kamen Riders can exist. The Riders draw on their monsters' strength in exchange for feeding them the life force of the creatures they destroy. The creator of the Advent Cards has only one rule: that there can be only one Kamen Rider. The others must be killed, and the sole victor will be granted a single wish, which leads to a conflict known as the Rider War.
Season 11
A man with amnesia, Tsugami Shoichi, is awoken to his powers of Agito. With Hikawa Makoto (man who equips G3) and Ashihara Ryo (transforms into Gills), he is at the mercy of his destiny.
Season 10
Revived from ancient ruins, the Gurongi Tribe began to terrorize the people. Godai Yusuke, an adventurer, equips the combat tool of Arcle, and bears his destiny as a Kuuga warrior.
Season 9
A month after the defeat of Gorgom, Minami Kotaro is kidnapped by the Crisis Empire. After refusing to join them, he is thrown out into space where he undergoes the change to become Kamen Rider Black RX.

After being kidnapped by the cult Gorgom on the night of their 19th birthday, stepbrothers Kotaro Minami and Nobuhiko Akizuki are submitted to a mutant surgery with the purpose of becoming the candidates to be the next Creation King. Kotaro escapes before the brainwashing, with help from his foster father, and turned against Gorgom. He soon finds out the horrific truth from his stepfather: Gorgom originally killed his true parents. Later on, Kamen Rider Black must battle with his brother, who has become the trump card of Gorgom, Shadow Moon.
Season 7
Kazuya Oki volunteers to undergo cybernetic surgery in the International Space Development Program in the United States in order to become an astronaut who can survive in outer space without the need for a bulky external suit. After a successful operation, he is given the codename "Super-1". Before he can depart for space, however, the base where he received his operation is attacked by the Dogma Kingdom. Only Kazuya is able to escape and determined to avenge the deaths of the scientists, he returns to Japan and is trained by a martial arts expert, Master Genkai. With this knowledge, he is able to transform into the powerful Kamen Rider Super-1 to fight the evil Dogma Kingdom and later the Jin Dogma.
Season 6
Doctor Keitarō Shido, an acclaimed scientist, has been kidnapped by the terrorist organization Neo-Shocker in order to exploit his expertise in robotics technology. Desperate to escape, he convinces Neo-Shocker command to allow him to operate on an injured camper. Explaining that he can turn the camper, Hiroshi Tsukuba into a powerful Neo-Shocker warrior, they allow Doctor Shido to operate. However, he quickly turns the tables on them, transforming Hiroshi not into an evil monster, but into the powerful warrior Skyrider, using his new found abilities to combat the evil Neo-Shocker menace.
Season 5
Shigeru Jo joins the evil organization Black Satan after the death of his close friend Goro Numata, who he considered his mentor. He, promised power, and fueled by a desire for revenge, undergoes surgery to become one of Black Satan's super warriors. However, Shigeru knows that Black Satan were in fact the murderers of his friend; he was using Black Satan in order to gain new powers. The newly powered up Shigeru escapes from the Black Satan headquarters before they can brainwash him into following their campaign of evil and becomes Kamen Rider Stronger. While escaping from Black Satan, Stronger meets Yuriko Misaki another cyborg warrior created by Black Satan who has the ability to transform into Electro-Wave Human Tackle. Together they fight the evil Black Satan and later the Delza Army to restore peace in Japan.

Inheriting the ancient Incan super-energy, wild child Amazon flew over the Pacific to his far and distant homeland of Japan to stop the evil ambitions of the Geddon and the Garanda Empire!
Season 3
Robotics scientist Keitaro Jin and his son Keisuke become caught up in the campaign of terror by an evil organization known as "G.O.D.". They are attacked and the professor's technology stolen, but before Keitaro dies, he is still able to perform surgery on his son. With the very last of his robotics technology, he transforms his son into "Kamen Rider X". To avenge his father's death and ensure the safety of the entire world, Keisuke uses this technology as he battles the monstrous minions of G.O.D.
Season 2
This series followed Shiro Kazami on his quest to gain revenge against Destron, the group that murdered his family. Later on, Riderman, the fourth Kamen Rider is introduced as the first long term anti-hero Kamen Rider. The original two Kamen Riders also make various appearances over the course of the series to help Kazami.
Season 1
Kamen Rider follows Takeshi Hongo and later, Hayato Ichimonji, both were turned into cyborgs by the evil organization called Shocker, but managed to escape before they were brainwashed by them. With the help of Tobei Tachibana and their friends, they fight the evil Shocker and later, GelShocker from their plans of world domination as Kamen Rider!

The show was a surprise hit, making Hung the only East Asian headlining a prime-time network series in the United States. At the time, Hung was not fluent in English, and he reportedly recited some of his dialogue phonetically. In many scenes, Hung did not speak at all, making Martial Law perhaps the only US television series in history that featured so little dialogue from the lead character.
