Synopsis
The Saddle Club is a children's television series based on the books written by Bonnie Bryant Like the book series, the scripted live action series follows the lives of three teenage girls in training to compete in equestrian competitions at the fictional Pine Hollow Stables, while dealing with problems in their personal lives. Throughout the series, The Saddle Club navigates their rivalry with Veronica, training for competitions, horse shows, and the quotidian dramas that arise between friends and staff in the fictional Pine Hollow Stables. In each show, The Saddle Club prevails over its adversities, usually sending a message emphasizing the importance of friendship and teamwork.

In this episode, Lisa wants to win first place at a competition but the jumps are to high for her. When she first practices Prancer refuses to jump it and Lisa goes flying over the jump and she goes into a coma. Melanie teaches Camanche to take things of the top of his stall and Deborah asks her to give Mrs. Reg the wedding rings and when Camanche knocks it off the stall door Meliane thinks he ate them. Since Lisa is in a coma, Max and Deborah decide to postpone their wedding. Despite Carole and Stevie's attempt to wake Lisa up, it fails.

Everyone is surprised when a visiting "horse whisperer" praises Kristi for her natural talent. Kristi's swollen ego becomes unbearable when she is selected to star in a live sports segment for a kids TV show.

Much to Lisa's horror, Lisa's mother invites Veronica to stay with them while Veronica's parents are away. Carole and Stevie are hurt when Veronica tells them what Lisa wrote about them in her diary. Meanwhile, Deborah proposes to Max.

When a barn fire damages the hayloft and endangers Max's horses, Max comes down hard on Red for his negligence, and Red quits. The Saddle Club girls must find a way to get Red back.

The Adventures of Shirley Holmes is a Canadian mystery TV series that originally aired from 1997 to 2000. The show was created by Ellis Iddon and Phil Meagher who had produced a successful series of books with Harper Collins, teaming up with Credo and Forefront to develop the TV series. Filmed in Winnipeg, Manitoba, the series follows the life of Shirley Holmes, the great grand-niece of Sherlock Holmes who, with the help of ex-gang member Bo Sawchuk, tackles a variety of mysteries in and around the fictional Canadian city of Redington. In the spring of 1998 Susin Nielsen won a Gemini Award in the category "Best Writing in a Children's or Youth Program" for her screenplay of the episode "The Case of the Burning Building". In the same year, Elizabeth Stewart won a WGC Award from the Writers Guild of Canada for her writing of the episode "The Case of the Maestro's Ghost".
