Episode 1 - Scout Hut

Richard, leading the local Boy Scout troup, and Audrey, heading the local Girl Guides group, nearly come to blows as they compete for their troups' rights to use the building both groups must share.

When Audrey learns of plans to close the local railway station, she leads a protest to save it. Meanwhile, Richard plans to buy the site so he can tear down the station and build a new grocery store in its place.

Audrey starts a business selling honey. A rare bee-eating bird spotted by Marjorie brings lots of people to the village. Audrey sees this as an ideal opportunity to sell her honey.

Richard must get Audrey to agree to pose as his wife for a weekend so he can fend off the amorous attentions of a cosmetics businesswoman who has decided to visit the estate.

The stockholders of Richard's company conspire to throw him off the board of directors, and Audrey asks her rich uncle to help him fight off the threat.

Richard loses control of his company when his main supporter, Audrey's rich uncle, dies suddenly, and Richard is forced to sell most of his assets, including Grantleigh Manor.

It followed the everyday life of a counsellor, Kate, who must not only manage her clients' problems, but must also help her neighbours and unsuccessful business partner, Douglas, played by Chris Langham. Amanda Holden played Mel, the receptionist. Darren Boyd played the idiotic Craig, the travel agent downstairs.
During the series, both Craig and Douglas fall for Kate. Mel and Craig become romantically involved, but Douglas continues to be in love with Kate. Kate then falls for Douglas' brother, Iain Cameron, a successful cardiac surgeon.
It was written by Chris Langham and John Morton, who had collaborated on People Like Us.

Birds of a Feather
Birds of a Feather is a British sitcom that was broadcast on BBC One from 1989 until 1998 and on ITV from 2013. Starring Pauline Quirke, Linda Robson and Lesley Joseph, it was created by Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran, who also wrote some of the episodes along with many other writers.
The first episode sees sisters Tracey Stubbs and Sharon Theodopolopodos brought together when their husbands are sent to prison for armed robbery. Sharon, who lived in an Edmonton council flat, moves into Tracey's expensive house in Chigwell, Essex. Their next-door neighbour, and later friend, Dorien Green is a middle-aged married woman who is constantly having affairs with younger men. In the later series the location is changed to Hainault. The series ended on Christmas Eve 1998 after a 9-year-run.
On 3 March 2009, the The Mirror reported that the classic sitcom was set for a return reporting that Lesley Joseph, Pauline Quirke and Linda Robson have all been asked by the team behind the sitcom to make another series. Quirke was reported as saying that they were up for the challenge if the writers came up with good ideas. After this speculation of a return in early 2009 nothing more was said. However, in July 2012 Lesley Joseph hinted that Birds of a Feather could return for another series following a successful stage tour.
