All three know what it takes to get through this competition and are in for a treat as their successors pull out all the stops to try secure their semi-final place. The four remaining contenders face two more culinary challenges as they battle for a place in the semi-finals. First they are split into two groups for a test of teamwork and communication. One duo has to master John Torode's dim sum selection, and the other his spiced duck noodle broth. Then, the celebrities' team work skills are pushed to the extreme as they are faced with their first Mass Catering Challenge, cooking lunch for over 100 staff at Acton Works - the central hub for repairs and upgrades to London Underground trains.

Celebrity MasterChef was renewed for an eighth series following the culmination of the seventh. The eighth series began on 31 July 2013, and is billed to finish on 6 September 2013, with episodes airing on BBC One and on BBC One HD. Judges Gregg Wallace and John Torode returned for the new series.
