After Holloway discovered who killed Sam Jones, decides to set himself up as bait in an attempt to catch the killer. Rachel has an important decision to make regarding her future when Michael proposes-her lover or her partner. Police boats Nemesis and Harpy respond when a fishing boat capsizes.

Holloway is suspended from police duties when he gets charged with the murder of Sam Jones. Rachel gets help from her new partner, Sykes, when she sets out to clear his name. Rachel believes Frank is being set up by Melbourne crime figure Charlie Hayes to discredit him as a witness in Gary Travis' upcoming trial (from ep. 45 and 46). The boat crew deal with a pair of jet skiers whose antics are threatening endangered penguin species.

Frank becomes the prime suspect when Sam Jones is murdered. Goldie and Holloway investigates the disappearance of a young barmaid, last seen alive by Tayler.

Tony Brady from Internal Affairs investigates Frank after a petty criminal accuses Frank of assaulting him while in custody. A series of safe robberies in which evidence at the crime scenes points to inside jobs gets investigated by Frank and Rachel. Tayler and Tavita looks after two precocious children when their parents are arrested.

A biker is gunned down in a harbor side park and Holloway, Tavita and Sykes has to investigate. The dive team is kept busy when they find packages of drugs floating in the harbor. Dave tries to ease a shaken constable Bailey back to work.

Rachel has difficulty adjusting to her new partner when Frank goes on an overseas attachment. Rachel and her new partner are thrown together to investigate a mysterious drowning. Constable Sam Bailey competes in a free dive competition.

The investigation into the death of Melissa Davies continues, but the stakes are raised with the knowledge that her son, Jordan, is still alive.The question is why would these men want the child? Fearing that Jordan may have witnessed her mothers murder, the detectives are desperate to find him before he is killed. An eager young journalist following the Nemesis crew is more interested in Tayler than his story, but Sykes s overly co-operative in what he tells the reporter about his colleagues.

The body of a Melbourne woman is found mutilated at Sydney Harbor, taking detectives Frank Holloway and Rachel Goldstein to Melbourne to investigate. The womans sister and a shady King Street nightclub owner seems to know more than they are letting on. A man pulled from the sea by the Nemesis crew claims his boat was struck by a cargo ship, sending him and his still missing wife overboard.

When a US Navy fleet cruises into Sydney Harbor over the Mardi Gras weekend the resources of the Water Police are stretched. Rachel and Holloway joins the boat crew in trying to keep order on the harbor as a flotilla of fanatical environmental protesters hinder the Navy's arrival. The weekend takes a violent turn when a teenager is found bashed in the Water Police car park. Livvy, the bar attendant, reveals she overheard five American sailors talking about harassing gays and a posse of off-duty Rats is organized to track them down. Rachel is offered a job in the security business.

Rachel and her new man, Michael Jeffries are guests at a wedding on ""the Bounty"". the romantic setting is shattered when a body falls from the sails. Rachel puts her relationship with Michael on the line when she puts aside her persona and turn professional in her detective role. Frank and Rachel tries to solve the mystery of the dead body. An extortionist claims the killing is part of a planned terrorist attack on the Australian tourism industry. Gavin tracks down the man who stole his car.

When a quantity of fireworks has been stolen, Hawker finds out his own son was involved. Will he have to arrest his own son? After Sykes gets bashed and robbed he loses his self-confidence. Frank gives Sykes a hard time before turning the other cheek.

A young woman believed to be stalked by an admirer called ""Desperate Dave"" is reported missing. Tayler falls overboard when he, Sykes and Tavita tries to outwit a couple of bag snatchers, at Darling Harbor. Hawker finds out about Helen and Taylers relationship.

After the Nemesis crew hear a gunshot on a yacht in the middle of the night, they find a badly injured woman who makes a garbled statement about ""the man in the moon"" before dying. Holloway and Rachel investigates the killer, a supposedly happily-married real estate agent who leads a double life. Tavitas relationship with an elderly couple ends in tragedy.

A psychic tells Hawker she had a ""vision"" about a missing girl, and detectives are reluctantly brought on the case. Rachel establishes a rapport with the psychic but Holloway is skeptical, is she genuine or is she just after the $10 000 reward money being offered by the girls parents? Rachel meets a new man-and creates a new career for herself.

Three convicts, including those who kidnapped and terrorized Rachel, make a dramatic escape from a prison van and try to make their getaway in a stolen boat on the Parramatta River. Tensions between Hawker and Blackmore escalate.

An old friend of Rachel calls her for help. She goes undercover as a drug courier, but when something goes terribly wrong and her cover is blown, the desperate drug dealers kidnap her at gun point.

Terry gets caught in the middle of a conflict between her new love interest Brett, the owner of a water taxi company, and his older brother Liam, Who works for a rival company. A sixteen year old boy who is attempting to sail is rescued by the Nemesis crew.

Terry jeopardizes his career when he falls into bed with Gina Downie, a woman he rescues when her dive into a shipwreck goes wrong. Terry believes their rendezvous to be just another one-night stand, but she has more sinister intentions which culminate in a near fatal attack on Terry. Frank and Rachel try to solve the puzzle of a woman found floating in the harbor. Was she murdered or did she commit suicide?

A ferry with Tommy on board collides with a large fishing trawler. Tommy tries to control the panic, risking his own life to help passengers escape before the ferry sinks. After the ferry disaster, Tayler unknowingly hands robbery proceeds back to a thief, Sykes looks into the life of his double who was killed in the ferry crash, and Goldie and Holloway try to ascertain who was at fault in the accident.
