Trailer Synopsis

This 1959-1963 television situation comedy series follows the lives of the Mitchell family, Henry, Alice, and their only child Dennis, an energetic, trouble-prone, mischievous, but well-meaning boy, who often tangles with his peace-and-quiet-loving neighbor George Wilson, a retired salesman, or, later, with George's brother John, a writer. Dennis is basically a good, well-intentioned boy who always tries to help people, but who winds up making situations worse – often at Mr. Wilson's expense.

Dennis and Tommy camp out in the back yard. Dennis' parents friends The Melton's play a record containing wild animal sounds to entertain the boys while they are camping out in the yard. Mr. Wilson can hear the record from his house and is convinced that wild animals have escaped from the circus and are after the boys so Mr. Wilson goes out to the yard to try and save Dennis and Tommy from danger.

Mr. Wilson's garden originally consisted of Dahlia bulbs. When Dennis sees them, he thinks they are ""sweet potatoes"" and after his bedtime, he ""secretly exchanges"" what is in his garden with what is in Mr. Wilson's garden. Dennis eventually raises the Dahlia bulbs & wins a 1st prize medal. After the garden judges see Mr. Wilson's garden, he is also given a medal.
