Shadow Force is a History Channel television show which premiered Friday, November 7, 2008 and is about a team of real-life mercenaries doing contracts given to them by the countries of Liberia, Kenya, and the Congo. The team consists mostly of ex-Special Forces from various countries.
Beyond the Darklands
Beyond the Darklands is a New Zealand true crime television series that airs on TVNZ's TV One. It is narrated and presented by clinical psychologist Nigel Latta, with each episode focusing on a certain criminal. The show has run for five seasons. Inspiration for the series came from Latta's 2003 book Into the Darklands: Unveiling the Predators Among Us, which dealt with Latta's work as a forensic psychologist.
An Australian series of the same name based on the New Zealand show has been running since 2009. The TVNZ series was previously shown in Australia on the ci channel on Foxtel.

Rory and Paddy's Great British Adventure
Rory and Paddy's Great British Adventure was a television documentary series presented by comedians Rory McGrath and Paddy McGuinness. The series was broadcast on Five between 13 August and 3 September 2008. The series followed McGrath and McGuinness travelling around Great Britain, taking part in, "strange but quintessentially British sporting events". Examples of sports that appeared in the series include cheese rolling, pie eating, bog snorkelling, Eton Fives and Egg Throwing. A second series, Rory and Paddy's Even Greater British Adventure, began on 20 September 2010 and ended on 18 October 2010.
The IFC Media Project
The IFC Media Project is an American television series, which airs on the Independent Film Channel in the United States.
The show is a documentary series which examines America's news media and seeks to uncover the truth about the news. In its first two seasons it was hosted by award winning journalist Gideon Yago and featured in-depth reporting on controversial topics facing today's media through its use of interviews and documentary footage.
In the third season, the show dropped its "magazine-style" format and focused each episode on telling 22-minute short documentaries under the tagline "4 Nights, 4 Journalists, 4 Stories." The third season follows award-winning journalists Max Blumenthal, Nir Rosen, Charlie LeDuff and Andrew Berends.
The series is filmed at various locations and is produced by Meghan O'Hara and Nick McKinney.
The Week the Women Went
The Week The Women Went is a television show produced by Paperny Films, and based on a BBC Three program of the same title. The show was part documentary, part reality television, that explores what happens when all the women in an ordinary Canadian town disappear for a week and leave the men and children to cope on their own.
The first season of the show was taped in Hardisty, Alberta from June 2 to June 9, 2007 and consisted of eight one-hour episodes. The show first aired on CBC Television in Canada on January 21, 2008 and concluded on March 10, 2008. An estimated 1.2 million viewers watched the debut episode.
The second season of the show was shot in Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia from September 8 to September 15, 2008 and began airing on January 21, 2009.
Iditarod: Toughest Race on Earth
Iditarod: Toughest Race on Earth is a Discovery Channel reality television series about the 2008 Iditarod race from Anchorage, Alaska to Nome, Alaska.
The show follows and documents selected racers and their dogs during the 1,161 mile trek through Alaska's wilderness. Iditarod entrants pay $3,000 to enter the race and must have completed certain qualifying races beforehand. Expenses for the race can exceed $20,000 and mushers often seek sponsors to aide in paying for the race. Most mushers hold outside jobs in addition to racing.
During the course of the show it is shown how the logistics of running an Iditarod are handled. Supplies are gathered and then flown into each of the checkpoints usually just hours before the mushers arrive. Each musher is required to sign into each checkpoint and then decides if they are going to continue on or rest for several hours. Some mushers elect to take short stops, briefly feeding their dogs before continuing on the trail. Veterinarians perform constant examinations on the dogs at checkpoints throughout the race, and any injured or sick dogs are taken off of the team and then flown to Anchorage for proper care.
There are only three mandatory rest points during the race. One is a 24-hour rest, and two eight-hour rests. Apart from that, mushers usually try to feed their dogs at each checkpoint, even if it is just as snack, as the dogs can burn around 10,000 calories a day.
Kenny's World
Kenny's World is an Australian television mockumentary on Network Ten that is a spin-off from the 2006 mockumentary film Kenny.
The series stars Shane Jacobson, reprising his role of Kenny Smyth, Australia's favourite portaloo plumber who scours the globe for bizarre, intriguing and often downright ridiculous examples of toilet technology. The show was canned after one season due to poor ratings and reception. Places Kenny travels to during the course of the series include the world's fastest Porta-loo in Indianapolis, Egypt's City of the Dead, and The World Toilet Summit and the Expo in India.
Paul Merton in India
Paul Merton in India is a television show broadcast on Channel 5 in the United Kingdom and Fox History & Entertainment in India. The first episode was aired on 8 October 2008. It follows comedian Paul Merton as he travels around India. The series was commissioned after the success of the previous series Paul Merton in China. Merton travelled around various places in India, sampling various offbeat and out of the normal aspects of India. It was broadcast on Fox History & Entertainment in India. AXS TV broadcasts the program for American TV viewers.

The Zoo (AU)
The Zoo is the Australian version of a New Zealand documentary television series of the same name. Centred around the lives of a zoo team at Taronga Zoo, New South Wales. The program is narrated by Sunrise co-host Melissa Doyle.
The first series of 6 episodes aired on Sunday nights from 3 February to 9 March 2008. The second series moved to Tuesday nights at 7:30 pm from 21 October 2008 and finished on 18 November 2008. The 3rd series airing back on the same time slot as series 2 on 12 May 2009. A fourth season began with a special one hour episode, Miracle At The Zoo on the birth of elephant Pathi Harn on 12 April 2010.

Henry Rollins: Uncut is an American television series, which airs on the IFC in the United States.
The special event series follows musician, author, and spoken-word artist Henry Rollins as he travels to controversial locals including New Orleans, Israel, and South Africa. At each location he shares his outspoken commentary on politics, culture, and media.
The series is filmed at various locations and is produced by Swift River Productions.
