Synopsis
Curiosity Quest is an upbeat, family, educational program that explores what viewers are curiosity about. In each show, host Joel Greene ventures on a quest to answer viewer's letters of curiosity.

Episode 12 : Salmon Hatchery

Host of Curiosity Quest, Joel Greene and the crew travel north to the beautiful state of Alaska and get a front row seat to a stream packed with more salmon than you can imagine. Greene learns from an Alaska Fish and Wildlife specialist why their creeks are bursting with salmon and why they travel thousands of miles to re-visit the place they were born. Afterwards, they travel to a salmon hatchery to learn about the role it plays in preserving the few species of salmon and protect the newly hatched salmon eggs.

Did you know that oranges are sprayed with a wax to make them look prettier? In this episode, you will also learn how oranges are measured by size, color, shape and weight all in a matter of seconds. Picking the oranges is only the beginning of the process these oranges go through before they end up at your local super market. In this DVD, you will see the whole process in action.

Host of Curiosity Quest, Joel Greene explores this life-like quest and tours the Garner Holt Productions facility where movie animatronics are made. Get a sneak-peak into all the hard-work that goes into making creatures come to life including the ideas, design, fabrication, molding, and final stages. Did you know that for each character that has hair, they have to insert every piece of hair one by one? Finally, Greene visits the basement where the finished characters are tested 24/7 for days upon days to make sure they are ready for the rigorous job ahead.

Ubisoft was able to produce only four episodes and never managed to broadcast its episodes in the United States.
