Stromberg hat für seine guten Abschlüsse in Finsdorf eine Flasche Wein von der Zentrale geschickt bekommen und dementsprechend Oberwasser. Da juckt ihn auch nicht das Problem von Landwirt Nehring. Dessen Sohn hat versehentlich die Scheune in Brand gesetzt. Nun soll Stromberg ein Auge zudrücken und die Angelegenheit zum Haftpflichtschaden erklären. Becker holt Stromberg vertretungsweise wieder zurück - endlich ein Fünkchen Hoffnung für den geschassten Ex-Chef. Zurück am alten Arbeitsplatz muss er aber feststellen, dass man ihn dort nur noch als einfachen Sachbearbeiter eingeteilt hat. Ein schlimmer Abstieg für Stromberg, der nur durch Jennifers Zuwendung halbwegs ausgeglichen wird. Die ist momentan wieder mal genervt von ihrem Ex-Mann. Tanja und Ulf freuen sich auf die Flitterwochen. Da aber gleichzeitig die Quartalsberichte vor der Tür stehen, muss eine Vertretung her. Stromberg hat den idealen Kandidaten: Achims Schwager Gernot. Zwar fehlt Martin aufgrund einer Conterganschädigung ein halber Arm, aber nach der Anzahl der Arme geht es ja schließlich nicht, wie Stromberg findet. Auch die eher dürftigen Zeugnisse von Gernot fallen nicht weiter ins Gewicht, denn Stromberg legt sich für ihn auffällig ins Zeug ...

Da trifft es sich gut, dass sich die attraktive Stripperin Sally in Finsdorf ihren Körper versichern lassen will. Vielleicht gelingt es Stromberg ja, Sally für Ulfs Junggesellenabschied zu engagieren und bei der Gelegenheit Jennifer eifersüchtig zu machen, indem er Sally für 'eine Freundin' von sich ausgibt ...

Stromberg organisiert, um Jennifer zu beeindrucken, einen Abend mit einem befreundeten Pärchen, nämlich Ulf und Tanja. Kindred: The Embraced
Kindred: The Embraced is an American television series produced by John Leekley Productions and Spelling Television. Loosely based on the role-playing game Vampire: The Masquerade, the series premiered on Fox on April 2, 1996, and ran for eight episodes before it was canceled on May 9, 1996.
The series focused on San Francisco Police Detective Frank Kohanek who discovers his city is home to numerous vampires while investigating alleged mobster, Julian Luna. Julian is the "prince" of the city, ruler of five groups of vampires in the city, collectively called "The Kindred". The vampires survive through the "masquerade", disguising themselves as humans, and Julian strictly enforces the laws that govern them to protect their anonymity. Julian and Frank form an uneasy bond as they work together to try to prevent a vampire war and Julian struggles with his romantic feelings for human reporter Caitlin Byrne.
