Episode 11 : Portugal
August. 08,2002

Episode 9 : India
July. 25,2002
The country with the largest rail network in the world. A ride on one of the famous narrow gauge lines in India; from Kalka in the plain to Simla in the Himalayas. After a hundred years the track is still used intensively and it continues to surprise travelers with constantly changing panoramas.

Episode 7 : Spain
July. 11,2002
In the Basque Country there is a narrow-gauge line between the two most important cities, San Sebastian and Bilbao. A ride over that gives a good impression of this beautiful, unknown part of Spain. July. 04,2002
A 'Bergbahn' in the hills of southern Germany, that is how the Black Forest describes the railway line. Even though the peaks are not that high, the journey from Offenburg to Konstanz on Lake Constance is particularly surprising due to the great variation of the landscape through which the train winds through.
Episode 5 : Norway

A train journey from the capital of the fjords into the mountains. So from Bergen on the green coast to half a meter of snow and spectacular views. Finally a ride with the world famous Flambana back to the sea.

June. 20,2002
Episode 3 : Egypt
June. 13,2002

Episode 2 : United States & Canada
June. 06,2002
A ride with Amtrak from the heart of New York to the heart of Montreal, two major cities on the east coast of North America. It is the story of the many railroad companies, who played a role in this and eventually fell victim to all sorts of takeovers.
Episode 1 : Germany & Austria
May. 30,2002
This railway line can be described as an international connection between two countries with the character of a slow train. From Kempten in the Allgau with the Ausserfernbahn along Reutte to Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Tirol and then with the Karwendelbahn to Innsbruck. It goes from the foot to the middle of the Alps, with the added bonus of a train ride to the highest peak in Germany, the Zugspitze.
