Synopsis
Airline is a fly on the wall television programme, produced in the United Kingdom that showcases the daily happenings of passengers, ground workers and on-board staff of Britannia and later EasyJet. The show was broadcast between 1998 and 2006 on ITV, is often repeated on ITV2 and shown on syndication on Pick TV. The programme's success sparked a US version of the series, following American low-cost airline Southwest Airlines.

An Elvis impersonator flies from Liverpool to Malaga, determined to practise his act en route, while delays on the M1 spell chaos for Luton's sales desk staff. Leo is overjoyed when his idol Nadine Coyle of Girls Aloud turns up in the departure lounge, but acting supervisor Aaron Storey has a hard time with irate passengers who have missed their flight to Glasgow.

Tempers become frayed as traffic jams make passengers miss their planes, including a couple bound for a funeral in Italy. A French student mistakenly goes to Heathrow instead of Luton and finds she is too late to get to Paris. At Liverpool there are happier scenes as Simon Whiteford dons a clown costume to greet girlfriend Helen Saunders in the arrivals lounge with a marriage proposal.

As former Go staff get used to the new easyJet colour scheme, the recent introduction of a 40-minute check-in causes Lorna Harrison a few headaches at Liverpool. A passenger's Valentine's Day rendezvous in Amsterdam is ruined by a delayed flight, and Leo Jones tries to win back the affections of stewardess Mel. Meanwhile, a man manages to lose his wife in the Luton terminal.

A freak blizzard holds Luton Airport in its icy grip, and tempers become heated as passengers begin to realise they are trapped for an extra night. At Bristol, re-routed travellers face a hefty bill for a coach to transfer them to Stansted, while in snow-free Liverpool, a Belfast-bound passenger refuses to accept responsibility for a wrongly dated ticket. The only people enjoying the weather are a father and son heading for St Moritz to compete in a race on the Cresta Run.
