In the first of the Junkyard Mega-Wars special, 3 teams of builders from United States, Great Britain and Russia build a vehicles capable of race across salt flats, drive over a rock-filled canyon floor, and sail over a freshwater lake. Instead of 10 hours of build time, each team has 20 hours to spend, with 10 hours per day. Team - Members American Raptors (USA) - Joe Ruggles, Barry McGarraugh, Matt Swain, Jason ""Pudge"" Bunch - Expert British Bulldogs (UK) - Lee, Tim, Mike - Captain, Graham Mitchell - Expert Russian Bears (Russia) - Rene Pohl - Expert Judge: Tony Shaw, HumVee expert and mechanical engineer, from U.S. Army's TACOM (Heavy Automotive Division).
Episode 7 : Building Bashers

Challenge: Each team has to build the most powerful demolition machine they can. Then, they'll try to destroy 9 panels of wall built from concrete blocks. The team that completely destroys the panels in less time wins.

Challenge for each team to build a raft that can carry two team members out of scrap. Then race the rafts up and down a white water course trying to avoiding rocks and not capsize. In a BattleBots event the competitors are remote-controlled armed and armored machines, designed to fight in an arena combat elimination tournament. If both combat robots are still operational at the end of the match the winner is determined by a point system based on damage, aggression, and strategy. The television show BattleBots aired on the American cable network Comedy Central for five seasons, covering five BattleBots tournaments. The first season aired starting in August 2000, and the fifth season aired starting in August 2002. Hosts of BattleBots were Bil Dwyer and Sean Salisbury and correspondents included former Baywatch actresses Donna D'Errico, Carmen Electra, and Traci Bingham, former Playboy Playmate Heidi Mark, and identical twins Randy and Jason Sklar. Bill Nye was the show's "technical expert". After five 'seasons', Comedy Central terminated their contract with BattleBots Inc. in late 2002.
