Synopsis
Follow Maine's elite Game Wardens as they navigate the Pine Tree State's rugged terrain and twisted back roads. Each Autumn brings the hunting season, the Warden's busiest and most dangerous time of year. These 'State Police of the Woods' never know what to expect from one moment to the next.

Things don't slow down in winter for the Wardens, even in freezing temperatures. A team of Wardens rush to the scene of serious nighttime snowmobile accident while another warden is on a stakeout for coyote poachers.

Hunters rush to stock up their freezers with deer, moose and bear meat for the long winter ahead. The Wardens track a trail of blood to a man that may be poaching deer. The arrival of snow and ice sends the Wardens into the backcountry for ice fishing.

Gun Country: During hunting season, nearly every person the Maine Game Wardens encounter is armed, and many are dangerous. One team of wardens investigate the shooting of a turkey hunter that could be an attempted homicide while another team sets up a stakeout.
