Synopsis
Myleene Klass presents the mother of all makeover shows. In each episode, two intrepid volunteers undergo drastic transformations. One goes under the knife using every cosmetic enhancement trick in the book, while the other takes the surgery-free route - using only great hair, make-up and fashion techniques.

Shaggy haired Sheila used to be a hairdresser, however it wasn't her disastrous two-tone hairdo that made her look as out of place as a bald man at a barbers; compared to all the fashionable young stylists she worked with, her face simply didn't fit.

Sporty Sybil, 61, has the body of a woman half her age; but her face looks double it. Spending over 25 years on the bowling green under the intense South African sun, has left her looking more elderly than effervescent.
With dreams of mixing with the fashion conscious, Sybil needs to make a few drastic changes to her appearance to ensure she looks the part.
Meanwhile, 38-year-old customer services manager Karen has let herself go. Cutting her own hair, and living by a wash-and-go beauty regime, has resulted in a ragged look that is crying out for help.
From the roots of her greying mane, all the way down to her slip-ons, Karen needs a re-vamp. Can the team retrieve her youthful sparkle?

Having lost her looks to life in the fast lane, and fags and booze, Marie needs to do something fast to return to the glamour of years gone by.
Shedding the pounds has left Northampton's Jenni playing catch-up when it comes to anti-ageing. In the past she never really cared much for fashion and beauty, but now she harbours aspirations of owning her own catering company and her image needs an overhaul.
But will non-surgical methods provide enough magic for Jenni to turn back the clock?

For 29-year-old mum-of-three Helen, life should be about looking good and feeling great. But clad in baggy t-shirts and plagued by a catalogue of skin problems, Helen is in dire need of some youthful sparkle. Standing at the school gates with the other mums highlights how prematurely she has aged.
Meanwhile, 53-year-old Susan from Sussex is ready for change. Her white and grey hair gives her an OAP appearance and she has been offered a free bus pass on many occasions.

Meanwhile, ex-navy lad David Yule, 58, is on the hunt for romance, but a 43-year smoking habit has left him with a gaunt face and weathered skin. He may have the body and the energy of a man half his age, but Londoner David needs to recapture his youthful days.

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition
Extreme Makeover: Home Edition is an American reality television series providing home improvements for less fortunate families and community schools. The show is hosted by former model, carpenter and veteran television personality Ty Pennington.
Each episode features a family that has faced some sort of recent or ongoing hardship such as a natural disaster or a family member with a life-threatening illness, in need of new hope. The show's producers coordinate with a local construction contractor, which then coordinates with various companies in the building trades for a makeover of the family's home. This includes interior, exterior and landscaping, performed in seven days while the family is on vacation and documented in the episode. If the house is beyond repair, they replace it entirely. The show's producers and crew film set and perform the makeover but do not pay for it. The materials and labor are donated. Many skilled and unskilled volunteers assist in the rapid construction of the house.
EM:HE is considered a spinoff of Extreme Makeover, an earlier series providing personal makeovers to selected individuals, which the Home Edition has now outlasted. This show displays extreme changes to help recreate someone's space. However, the format differs considerably; in the original Extreme Makeover, for instance, participants were not necessarily chosen based on any recent hardship, whereas the family's backstory is an important component of Home Edition. EM:HE also has similarities to other home renovation series such as Trading Spaces, on which Pennington was previously a key personality.
