Trailer Synopsis

Puppets Who Kill is a Canadian television comedy programme co-produced by The Comedy Network. It premiered in Canada on the Comedy Network in 2002, and in Australia on The Comedy Channel in 2004. In Puppets Who Kill, Rocko the Dog, Cuddles the Comfort Doll, Buttons the Bear, and Bill the Dummy are four live, anthropomorphic puppets with a history of delinquency and recidivism. Canadian courts sent each of them to a halfway house for puppets, operated by a man named Dan Barlow.

Dan gets rid of the TV to stop the gang doing nothing but sitting around watching it so Cuddles and Rocko buy their own set from a thrift shop but it turns out to be cursed.

Cuddles' latest blind date turns out to have a siamese twin attached and wants him to find a date for her sister. Rocko barges into the situation and finds he's met his match in the bitter & angry sister. To everyone's surprise their mutual hostility turns into a passionate affair while Cuddles finds that the other sister is far more boring than her personal ad claimed.

Rocko learns he's down to 2% of lung capacity and needs a transplant to survive but he's such a scumbag that no one's willing to donate them to him and he doesn't have the money to buy a new set. Bill's sent to a TV quiz show to earn the money but it turns out his genius at home was actually from cheating and in he's way over his head.

In this episode many pizza delivery boys disappear. Rocko and Cuddles decide to take a job delivering pizza. In the meantime, Buttons lies to a pretty lady, (Meredith Henderson), to get what he wants. The truth about Buttons is uncovered though, and the case of the disappearing pizza boys is solved.

Cuddle gains the power to heal by touch and becomes known to the neighbours as the Miracle Child but his popularity annoys Dan who sets out to destroy Cuddle's gift until he discovers he has terminal bowel cancer.

Button's has an affair with a woman with a very jealous and murderous ""husband"" while Rocko and Bill take advantage of two prostitutes who have announced a holy mission to see that the terminally ill get laid.

Spitting Image is an award winning British satirical puppet show, created by Peter Fluck, Roger Law and Martin Lambie-Nairn. The series was produced by Spitting Image Productions for Central Independent Television over 18 series which aired on the ITV from 1984 to 1996. The series was nominated and won numerous awards during its run including 10 BAFTA Awards, including one for editing in 1989, and even won two Emmy Awards in 1985 and 1986 in the Popular Arts Category. The series featured puppet caricatures of celebrities famous during the 1980s and 1990s, including British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher and fellow Tory politicians, American president Ronald Reagan, and the British Royal Family. The Series was the first to caricature the Queen mother. The series was axed in 1996, after viewing figures declined. ITV had plans for a new series in 2006, but these were scrapped after a dispute over Ant & Dec puppets used to host the reviews "Best Ever Spitting Image", which were created against Roger Law's wishes.
