The two stories connect and before you know it, the cops feel this Amnesiac Man who has a signature beginning with K, is the only link/witness to the murder of the art dealer. The shooter fired at the Art Dealer and one bullet missed and hit this man’s novel. And this leads to an intricate web of Fake Paintings, Forgeries, Omanian Shaikhs and dubious painters (backdrop) who all end up being under the needle of suspicion.
