Synopsis

Brody takes his car to be professionally cleaned and to have a strong smoke smell removed. Max and Virgil follow Brody and take photos of him. Brody then takes a cab to CIA Headquarters, where Carrie waits inside for his arrival. As he walks towards the building from the parking lot, she exits and walks past him. He is very surprised to see her and calls her name. She turns and greets him casually.

Episode 1 : The Smile

Brody has been elected to Congress. A woman named Roya comes to see him, and asks him to steal a list of homeland targets from Estes's office safe. Carrie is working with the CIA again because Fatima, an informant married to a man working for Abu Nazir, tells Saul that she'll only speak to Carrie. Estes goes to pick up Carrie at her sister's house, and then she's sent to Cyprus, where she's prepped for a brief mission in Lebanon.

Carrie Mathison is back in the US on the streets of New York, fighting for the protection of civil liberties and against the abuse of power within our government. She remains in opposition with Saul, who is still with the CIA.

The game has changed for Carrie Mathison. Out of the CIA and living in Berlin, Carrie is trying to start a new life but realizes now shes the one with a target on her back. As the danger intensifies, and without Saul and Quinn to rely on, one thing becomes clear shes never been at greater risk or with more to lose.

Volatile CIA agent Carrie Mathison investigates and ultimately becomes obsessed with returned POW marine Nicholas Brody, who may or may not be an al-Qaeda-trained terrorist.
