A valuable symbol of the British Empire’s wealth shows up in the form of an uncut diamond. It is a jewel ‘freed’ from the diamond monopoly of De Graal by one Daniel Judge, Captain Jackson’s untrustworthy older brother. Reid and Flight find themselves being drawn to the plight of a local craftsman defrauded of his work and income by a scam that is set to return H Division to the malign influence of Detective Inspector Jedediah Shine.

An Irish bomber is sprung from prison and barely a day later a prominent opponent of the Home Rule movement is murdered. Chief Inspector Abberline is convinced that the Irish Republican Brotherhood is active once more and orders Reid to send the Irish DC Flight undercover into Whitechapel's Irish community.

The abduction of a prominent member of the London County Council introduces Reid to Councilor Jane Cobden, the first woman appointed to the LCC - because it appears the kidnappers are radical supporters of Cobden's aims. Long Susan is taken by force to the gang's hideout, and she soon finds herself growing sympathetic to her captors' lives and aims.

An investigation into the assault of a policeman leads DI Reid and the men of H-Division to the newly-emergent Chinatown, where Jackson discovers evidence of a new and devastatingly powerful opiate. In 1897, Reid has given up his detective work and lives in Hampton-on-Sea with Matilda. When his old friend Isaac is accused of murder, he is drawn back to Whitechapel to investigate. Meanwhile Drake is now head inspector of Whitechapel and still employs Jackson who has given up his drinking and gambling in order to save money to free Susan from prison.

After a locomotive disaster, Reid's iron grip on 'H' Division begins to unravel.

Brimstone
Brimstone is a short-lived Fox television series, featuring a dead police detective whose mission is to return to Hell 113 spirits who have escaped to Earth. The series ran for only one partial season.
Since cancellation, Brimstone reruns have aired on Syfy in the United States from the summer of 1999 onward. The reruns have no set schedule, but are usually aired in marathons during the channel's seasonal events like "Creatureland", "Inhumanland" and "the 31 Days of Halloween". Chiller also began airing reruns, on July 28, 2007. It currently airs in sporadic weekday marathons, like Syfy, and has no set airing schedule.
The Man from Snowy River
The Man from Snowy River is an Australian television series based on Banjo Paterson's poem "The Man from Snowy River". Released in Australia as Banjo Paterson's The Man from Snowy River, the series was subsequently released in both the United States and the United Kingdom as Snowy River: The McGregor Saga.
The television series has no relationship to the 1982 film The Man from Snowy River or the 1988 sequel The Man from Snowy River II. Instead, the series follows the adventures of Matt McGregor, a successful squatter, and his family. Matt is the hero immortalized in Banjo Paterson's poem "The Man from Snowy River", and the series is set 25 years after his famous ride.
