Episode 7 : L'Auberge du canal (Écuisses, Saône et Loire)

It's in Écuisses, in Burgundy, that Élodie and Allan called on chef Philippe Etchebest to try to save their establishment. Parents of 5 children, they took over a village restaurant 4 years ago to give themselves a new life. While everything was going well for the first two years, an unfortunate event turned everything upside down and the couple's financial situation became catastrophic. Today, the whole family is in danger. As soon as he arrives, Philippe Etchebest realizes how badly the couple is doing: the restaurant is in a deplorable state and the dishes cooked by Allan are not very tasty... The situation is so terrible that the chef doubts his ability to help them avoid closing their restaurant. One thing is sure, this issue of "Nightmare in the kitchen" will be more than intense for Philippe Etchebest who will have to face a huge challenge... And despite all their mistakes, this couple will literally upset the chef.
Episode 6 : Le Grill (Tarbes)

It is in Tarbes that Philippe Etchebest will try to save a new restaurant. 25 years ago, Christian took over an establishment with his wife Joëlle and his nephew Christophe. After years of hard work and sacrifices, today the business is failing and nothing is going right anymore. Christian has worked day and night to the point of exhaustion and has never taken a vacation. The years go by and the customers don't come anymore, to the point that the financial situation of the restaurant is catastrophic: for the last 5 months, Christian can no longer pay his nephew; he is demoralized and is afraid of ending up on the street. It's a new challenge for the chef who will have to try to save a restaurant held by the same person for 25 years! And so many bad habits and mistakes that Christian has never wanted to admit. One thing is sure: if Christian continues to deny it, the chef will not be able to save his restaurant.
Episode 5 : Brasserie de Lyon (Marseille)

It was in Marseille that Siham called on chef Philippe Etchebest to help her. Six months ago, Siham fought and invested all her savings to make her dream come true: setting up a restaurant with her sister Sanna and her cousin Leila in the kitchen. But she thought she was living a great family adventure, but her dream has turned into a nightmare. The customers have deserted the establishment and the turnover is collapsing... It must be said that in this restaurant, nothing works: the menu offers Provencal cuisine, passing by burgers and Moroccan specialties. The dishes served are insipid, but above all, the atmosphere is electric! The relationship between the two sisters is complicated and tensions are omnipresent. A new challenge for the chef because if the restaurant doesn't recover very quickly, Siham risks losing everything: her dream and her family.

It is in Hyères, in the Var, that Vanessa called upon Chef Etchebest. 20 months ago, Vanessa and her husband Stéphane decided to take over a restaurant, but since the opening, it is every day the same nightmare: the restaurant remains desperately empty... For lack of customers, the financial situation of the couple becomes very critical, especially since Vanessa invested all her savings in this business. Their daily life is thus extremely heavy and big tensions appeared in the couple. But between Stéphane's lack of organization in the kitchen, even though he has more than 20 years of experience, and Vanessa's lack of communication, who does not see her own mistakes, Philippe Etchebest has his work cut out for him! Faced with Stéphane's behavior, who refuses to assume the problems of his establishment, the chef will even wonder if, for once, he will not give up the idea of helping them...

After a flourishing career that led him to work for a time in New York at the UN, Alex realized his childhood dream 17 years ago by becoming the owner of a restaurant on the seashore. But for the last 4 years, it has been a downhill slide. With no customers, the restaurant's financial situation is catastrophic, to the point that Alex is now on the verge of eviction. He risks ending up on the street and, in his fall, he is not alone: he takes with him his young apprentice cook, Alexis. Alex and Alexis are sinking, but the chef would never have imagined to what extent. As soon as he arrives, Philippe Etchebest is literally shocked by the dilapidated state of the restaurant: broken windows, dust on the cutlery, a menu full of mold...
Episode 2 : Le Saint Nicola (Besançon)

It is in Besançon, in the Doubs region, that Julien called on Chef Etchebest to help his father Tony, the owner of an Italian restaurant. In this rudderless establishment, communication is totally broken between Tony, the boss, Bastien, the apprentice cook, and Julien, who works in the dining room. Between a dubious kitchen, a cantankerous boss who smokes in his office in the middle of the service, and an approximate organization, laxity has clearly taken over the restaurant! And, faced with Tony's strong character, Julien and Bastien start to seriously give up: this business is on the verge of implosion! Philippe Etchebest will have to take up a major challenge: confronting a fiery business manager and demotivated employees, ready to jump ship. Tony, Julien and Bastien will have to react together or else the restaurant will definitely close its doors.

The Restaurant is a reality television series that aired on NBC in 2003, with a second season broadcasting in 2004. The series had encore presentations on CNBC and Bravo.
Celebrity chef Rocco DiSpirito opened the Gramercy Park, New York City, restaurant Union Pacific in August, 1997. The NBC series, it was announced, would follow DiSpirito as he launched and operated a new Manhattan restaurant. The first season revolved around the construction and opening of Rocco's on 22nd, scheduled to open in five weeks. Some 7.5 million viewers tuned in for the July 20, 2003 premiere focusing on the search for a location and construction work for the new restaurant.
