Mom and Dad, I Have Something to Tell You
Mom and Dad, I Have Something to Tell You
"Mom and Dad, I have something to tell you" is a documentary film about the journey parents whose children tell them they are gay are forced to take. Through the film different stories of different families and their different reactions are shown with great honesty. Some of them are optimistic, some heartbreaking, but all reveal a much bigger fact of life: that the love of parents to their children is stronger than any other thing. The movie, which is emotional and sensitive, is lead by Assi Azar, one of the rising TV stars in Israel, a screen writer and the host of the Israeli version of "Big Brother". His personal story is unfolded, including a heart to heart conversation between Assi and his parents, for the first time since he came out when he was 24.

North from Calabria
North from Calabria
'North from Calabria' is about a dream place to live, where living is easy and people know each other, tolerate their faults, like to meet to talk and just be together. For one summer, Sauter's film crew mingles with the inhabitants of a small town to enact an almost Italian comedy. It appears that all they needed was a few classes of Italian cuisine and the art of carpe diem to turn this Polish province into Calabria alike. A documentary midsummer night's dream.

Vergence
Vergence
Vergence, a term from the field of optics, refers to the convergence or divergence of light rays. It also designates slow involuntary movements made by the eyes to center an image on the retina. Convergence and divergence determine the stability and definition with which an object is perceived. Such dictionary definitions provide the point of departure for the rhythmic optical game of deception that Tina Frank and Florian Hecker initiate in their collaborative work entitled Vergence. The ratio of audio and video components are neither convergent nor divergent; expressed simply they overlap, move apart, then back together, accelerate each other, and so on. This sort of interlocking of sound and image repeats within both components, and as a result they remain autonomous to a great extent.
