Rainmakers is an investigative documentary about the decline of China's environment. The story is told from the perspective of four civil activists who refuse to accept the ongoing ecological destruction of their homeland. On the border of heroism and stubbornness, four diverse and remarkable Chinese civilians explain why they have the courage to fight the pettish and aggressive local authorities, against all odds. In a film that takes the natural cycle of water as its visual framework, the polluted air of Beijing and Changsha, the filthy water of the Qiantang river and the advancing sand of the Tengger desert, serve as symbols for an environmental battle with many losers and occasionally some winners.

The Reconstruction of Asa Carter
Published in 1976, the critically acclaimed novel, The Education of Little Tree was quickly embraced by critics as a seminal work of Native American literature. A memoir about life as an orphan in the Tennessee hills, Little Tree's author Forrest Carter was beloved for his sensitive work of non-fiction. However, as it turns out, Forrest Carter was not actually a Native American orphan and the story of Little Tree was a complete fabrication. He was actually Asa Earl Carter a KKK leader from Alabama and the writer of George Wallace's 1963 "Segregation Now! Segregation Forever!" speech. The film tells the story of Carter's incredible journey from white supremacist to New Age guru.

On Dan Taylor's first day out of prison he had nowhere to go, and faced one of the most important choices of his life: to return to his past of drug addiction or to try for something better. Called "Our House," it was an alternative to the impersonal shelter system, providing the homeless a safe place where everyone lived communally (and illegally) in an abandoned warehouse. Besides a roof and healthy food, Dan also found new friends, a spiritual haven in a makeshift 'prayer tent,' and the hope of putting his life back together. But when the building is set for demolition to make way for luxury condos, Dan and the other residents must confront the inevitable end of their community and what that will mean for their futures.
