Episode 13 - What Had Happen Was: The "Coming to the Stage" Finale

One of three finalists on BET's ""Coming to the Stage"" will walk away with the title ""The Next Superstar of Funny"" in a finale set to air Wednesday January 5 at 9 p.m. ET. Atlanta's Lil Duvall (a.k.a. Roman Powell), Joe Recca of Baltimore and Cory Fernandez from New York will battle it out before a panel of celebrity judges featuring show regular Kim Coles, and guest judges Xzibit and Paul Mooney. It all began with 800 audition tape submissions, on-stage tryouts in eight cities across the country, and 30 hopefuls battling on stage for 12 episodes. Each week contestants were judged on creativity, delivery and individuality via a rotating panel of celebrity judges anchored by Coles. Host Bruce Bruce keeps things moving between acts. The winner will snag valuable prizes, which include a shot at the ""big time"" with a role on UPN's ""Eve,"" an appearance on a BET show, a Disneyland cruise to the Caribbean and an Ice Teck watch.

Fist of Fun was a British comedy television and radio programme, written by and starring Lee and Herring. A lot of the show's comic material was adapted from Lee and Herring's radio programme Lionel Nimrod's Inexplicable World. Each episode of Fist of Fun featured several disparate sketches and situations. Fist of Fun began as a BBC Radio 1 series in 1993, before becoming commissioned as a television series on BBC Two in early 1995. It was broadcast at 9pm on Tuesday nights, and was successful, but not a major ratings-winner. The second series was aired on Friday nights, and although its ratings were relatively good, the show suffered from a lack of preparation and poor promotion.
