Trailer Synopsis

Mickey Go Local is a 2019 webcast animated series and also a locally-produced animated series exclusively for the Southeast Asian market. Though the episodes premiered on Disney Channel Asia's official YouTube channel, the series began airing on Disney Channel in Southeast Asia as interstitials.

Episode 1 - Master Hawker

Goofy is walking across the streets smelling satay that Mickey is fanning, doing his job as a hawker. After eating one, he smells roti canai being prepared by Donald Duck to which the two hawkers brawl to know which hawker is the best. After trying the street foods served by Mickey and Donald, the two get into a brawl to know whose food is better. Ultimately, the brawling stops after noticing an overstuffed Goofy where the two give him receipts to which Goofy has no money, leaving him unable to afford.

Episode 2 - Peranakan Spice

At home, Minnie is preparing a delicious Peranakan dish for Mickey, though she misreads what the ingredient book says. She tells him to enjoy the soup she made, but the soup Mickey is eating is a bit spicy, causing him to drink water to quench his spicy mouth. Despite this, Minnie serves a spicier dish for Mickey but he can't stand eating spicy food, so he hears an ice cream cart outside, and gets some ice pops from Goofy to extinguish the spicy food he ate. Back at home, Minnie serves an extremely spicy dish for Mickey, causing him to rocket into a place far away from home into a waterfall to relax while Minnie calls for him to try more.

Episode 3 - Georgetown Chase

Mickey and Minnie are walking together across the streets. The couple comes across Donald cleaning a bike to which Minnie poses for a photo for Mickey to take a picture of, not noticing Minnie's hat being blown away. To get Minnie's hat back, Mickey rides on a motorcycle with a sleeping Goofy on it. Throughout the chase, Minnie decides to help Mickey retrieve the runaway hat. Arriving at a harbour, Mickey crashes into a cart Horace Horsecollar is using as he retrieves Minnie's missing hat, but Minnie rescues him, retrieving her hat back to her. However, the wind blows away Minnie's hat again, much to Donald's worry about this.

Episode 4 - Rainforest Hunt

In a tropical rainforest, Mickey is taking solo pictures of Minnie posing. However, a baby orangutan arrives towards them, causing the two to chase after him. Chasing after the orangutan, Mickey devises a plan to find other animals after the orangutan escaped by using a map just as Mickey notices a green tree python looking at him. Escaping, Mickey and Minnie encounter a group of wild boars, just as Minnie notices a whole herd of them preparing to chase after them. As the wild boars chase Mickey across the rainforest, Mickey and Minnie come across a crocodile, two frogs, two mudskippers, and a tapir. Mickey takes a picture of the tapir, just as he tells Minnie to join in with him and the tapir in a selfie, only to notice the wild boars chasing the two and the tapir in another photo. Just as the wild boars prepare to crush them, a mother orangutan saves them, just as Mickey takes pictures of her baby leaping around.

Episode 5 - How Do You Make Kaya?

No one can resist Minnie's kaya toast with kopi and teh but oh no! There's no more kaya! Mickey is sent to get eggs, panda leaves and coconut to whip up a new batch. Can he do it in time? Will Donald be willing to help? Or maybe it’s time to close shop!

Huat ah! It’s the year of the Mouse. Mickey and Donald are ready to wow everyone with their Lion Dance but a second troupe appears. It’s a Lion Dance Off and who is the second lion? SURPRISE! Gong xi fai cai with lo hei for everyone!

It was one of the first shows created with the specific purpose of showing behind the scenes bloopers from film and TV and has been running since 18 September 1977. Denis Norden was the host until 2006, followed by Griff Rhys Jones from 2008 to 2016, with David Walliams taking over in 2018.
