Trailer Synopsis

Filmed in five cities over a six month period, each episode pairs two indie developers together for 48 hours and challenges them to create a game based on a theme suggested by their peers. The series examines the creative process, technical skill, and friendships that form through a game jam event on a more personal and intimate level. Super Game Jam spans five episodes, each of which includes one of the five games - exploring intimate topics, abstract themes or complete madness.

Christoffer Hedborg is obsessed with low-poly 3D dolphins and cyberspace. Dominik Johann is a classically trained graphic designer turned illustrator with an ever-expanding foothold in video games. And this is their story. Episode 2 was filmed in Berlin, Germany at the end of January.

What happens if you'd put the creators of a vector-based strategy game (RYMDKAPSEL) and messy mass murder simulator (Hotline Miami) together to jam on a game? Probably something really cool. Episode 4 was shot in Gothenburg, Sweden at the end of May.

Kaede Honjou is invited by her friend Risa Shiramine to play a virtual reality MMO game with her. While Kaede doesn't dislike games, what she really, truly dislikes is being in pain. She creates a character named Maple, and decides to put all her points in VIT to minimize pain. As a result, she moves slowly, can't use magic, and even a rabbit can get the best of her. But as it turns out, she acquires a skill known as "Absolute Defense" as a result of her pumping points into VIT, as well as a "Counter Skill" that works against special moves. Now, with her ability to nullify all damage, she goes on adventures.

The only thing he has going for him is that he is good at video games. One day at the local arcade, he plays Oono Akira, a fellow classmate but who's popular, smart, pretty and a rich girl that absolutely destroys him at Street Fighter II. Not only does he lose to her 30 times in a row, he can’t beat her at any game. Haruo can’t seem to shake Akira off as she follows him from arcade to arcade everyday after school and beats him every time. As weird as it sounds, the odd couple begins a strange bond and friendship.
