Janna's father has been fired from his job. It makes Janna restless. She is also concerned about her younger sister Zoë, who is still too young to understand their parents' money problems. It is the first week after the autumn holidays and Janna's new friends told the nicest stories about the trips they had made. Janna's holiday was less pleasant. Her father had to sell their car due to lack of money, and he and Barbara just argued. In order to take a hot shower, Janna and Zoë now have to shower at the public swimming pool around the corner. Janna wants to do something, she wants to help her family.

It's December. Janna has had her first period. As a result, she fainted during the beep test during gym. Things are also going less well in the other lessons. Janna had a conversation with her mentrix. She explained her entire situation, to which fortunately she responded very well. She has also contacted Debbie again, they are friends again. But Janna and Malou had a fight at school. Immediately afterwards Janna regrets it. She shouldn't have taken everything out on Malou... Not much later it is Janna's birthday. She talked it out with Malou and Barbara organized a surprise party for her. It was so much fun, her parents were happy and Gerard is going to apply for a new job again. Janna has the feeling that everything is finally getting better again.
