Estong and Grace feel a strong sense of regret as they mourn for Cristine's passing. Eleazar is forced to make a big decision, putting Moises' fate in jeopardy.

Moises feels betrayed by Eleazar's decision, while the Sagrado family celebrates Rafael's rise to power. Mercedes makes a deal with Diego to get rid of Moises once and for all.

When Diego returns empty-handed, Mercedes takes matters into her own hands. Meanwhile, Eleazar demands the return of his daughter and threatens Jaime, who remains oblivious to the betrayal brewing among those closest to him.

Unaware of Danica's situation, Moises reaches out to her for help. Meanwhile, Nadia and Melanie suffer the consequence of aiding the Sagrados' archenemy.

While Rafael takes his oath as the new president, the police rush to Crestwood University in hopes of capturing Moises. Unbeknownst to them, a new ally comes to the boy's rescue.

Estong and Grace storm into Rafael's oath-taking ceremony to demand that he fulfill his promise to Moises, only to land in jail. Eleazar gatecrashes the Sagrados' celebration.

Eleazar causes a scene at the Sagrados' celebration to pressure Jaime into freeing Danica. As the Malonzos get released from jail, Rafael soon learns about what happened to Grace.

While deep in thought about her family's dire situation, Grace receives a glimmer of hope. Justin and his brothers confront Prof. Elmer, suspecting that Omega Alpha Rho is harboring Moi.

As Eleazar faces arrest on corruption charges, Jaime forms a new alliance to solidify his hold on power. Despite his friend's sacrifice, Moises falls into the hands of his enemies. Rafael visits the Malonzos to offer his help.

After meeting with the Malonzos to assure them of his help, Rafael finds himself haunted by memories of his sinful affair. General Arevalo pressures Moises into revealing the identity of his accomplice.

Rafael finally finds Danica, while Ernesto and Grace are forced to trust an old foe to flee from Jaime's men. Later, the president secretly digs deeper into Cristine's mysterious death.

Burdened by guilt over Cristine's fate, Rafael feels compelled to atone for his mistakes by helping Moises. Much to his father's disgust, Justin makes an appalling suggestion involving the enemies of the Sagrados.

Rafael and his security team set out on a mission to rescue both Moises and Danica. The president's actions, however, start to raise suspicions in Jaime.

Justin grows furious at the thought of his father siding with Moises. To make matters worse for the Sagrados, Rafael's action empowers Eleazar to strike back and wage war against them.

Jaime confronts Eleazar after his brother exposed his evil acts. While Rafael informs Justin about his deal with the ex-president, Mercedes grows increasingly fearful of what her husband might do once he learns the truth.
