Um Mundo Catita is a series of 6 episodes inspired by the world and the characters invented by Manuel João Vieira, but also by the great successes of the last years of American HBO. Vieira has a very important concert at S. Luiz and needs to rest. However, a childhood friend reappears to ruin the night. However, what bothers Vieira the most is the solution to a simple game that he is shown at the breakfast table.
Vieira is fired by the publisher for missing a concert at S. Luiz. Together with Phil Mendrix, he visits Gimba at the hospital where he meets a friend who takes him to a retrospective of Bergman at the Cinematheque. At the same time, Vieira is blackmailed to perform at Christmas at Hospitals and gets involved in a big discussion with one of the patients.
In an attempt to improve his public image, Vieira follows Didelet's advice and resorts to the services of a dentist. Surrendered to Sofia's charms, Vieira falls head over heels, however, his willingness to impress her will cause an unfortunate incident in a football game that will tarnish her public image forever.
Vieira is increasingly in love with Sofia, his dentist, and will have to touch her wedding. Meanwhile, Basilio discovers a new face of his personality that will jeopardize his friendship with Vieira. The wedding party and a compensation from Licor Beirão will be the ingredients for a fateful night that will end at the police station.
Vieira is having a hard time, nothing in his life seems to be going well. It embraces a life of dependence on anti-depressants and only a visit from a great friend can open his eyes. Will this be Manuel João's triumphant return?
It is time for change for Vieira. Everything is going well for him. However, there is one more opportunity to throw everything to waste. Only an introspective dialogue during sleep brings you back to reality. A concert with an orchestra could be the new starting point. Will Vieira finally make his dream come true?
