Assem mistreats his wife, Naya. A cruel man, Assem monitors Naya and beats her until she passes out.

Naya wakes up in the hospital and learns that she has lost the ability to have kids. Despite claiming that she fell off the stairs, her friends learn that Assem put her in the hospital and try to help her escape. Assem deletes the camera footage that shows him beating Naya.

Naya recovers and asks for a divorce. Assem tries to apologize to her before shifting gears and threatening to kill her. One of Naya's relatives decides to sue Assem for what he did to Naya.

Assem tries to make up for what he did to Naya by looking after her. As he takes Naya on a cruise to help her forget what he did to her, they quarrel during their trip and Assem decides to go back home.

Naya asks for divorce again but Assem refuses it. During a fight, Naya jumps off the boat and everyone believes her dead. Naya arrives in Cairo and starts afresh away from Assem. She starts working for Eng. Karim.

As Assem looks for Naya, the latter starts her new life and meets the rest of the company's employees. She and Noha clash over their difference of opinion. Noha confesses her love for Karim but he lets her down gently.

Karim approves Naya's new project. Naya grows upset with Noha for her reaction and decides to withdraw her project. When Assem refuses to believe that Naya killed herself, his sister Manal tries to console him.

Naya goes to her mother in Alexandria after she leaves the company. Karim is shocked to learn of Naya's departure and asks one of the workers to look for her. Selim quarrels with Noha for causing Naya to leave.

Naya comes back to the company. Manal gets Gubran to show her the boat that Naya jumped out of. Naya's doctor tells her friend Laila that she discovered some dangerous secrets.

Karim asks Naya to accompany him to a dinner in Sharm El Sheikh, but she refuses for Noha's sake. Manal calls Assem's doctor and tells him that Assem is in a bad condition.

Engy tells Naya that Karim's wife left with their only daughter and he has no idea where they are. Karim confesses his love for Naya. Assem recounts to Manal how he met Naya.

Gubran asks Shahrzad to get close to Assem to help him move on. As Karim and Naya fight, Karim leaves for Sharm El Sheikh and Naya stars having nightmares about Assem.

Noha drives a wedge between Karim and Naya by telling Karim that Naya and Selim are in a relationship. Shahrzad refuses to continue to deceive Assem after she falls in love with him.

Karim and Noha quarrel after she tells him that she loves him and he rejects her. Naya takes some time off to visit her mother in Alexandria. Laila visits Naya's doctor and discovers that she had a hysterectomy to ensure that she won't have children with Assem.

When Engy tells Karim that Naya is visiting her mother, Karim follows her and asks for her hand. Naya asks him to postpone the announcement of their engagement for Noha's sake. Karim gets in an accident on the way back to Cairo.

Noha vows revenge when she learns that Karim wants to marry Naya. She learns about Naya's previous marriage and tells Karim. Manal grows fearful that Assem will discover that she and Gubran put Shahrazad in his way. Assem confronts Shahrazad about the fact that she is a dancer.

As Karim tries to figure out the truth about Naya's marriage, Naya leaves to avoid a confrontation. Gubran proposes to Manal. Assem discovers that Naya owned a stolen car. Fady tells Naya that Assem found out about the car. Selim rebukes Noha for sabotaging Naya and Karim's relationship.

Assem discovers some diamonds that came from one of Naya's ring and enlists Shahrzad's help to figure out why the ring is missing. Naya comes clean to Karim. Fady tells Assem and Gubran that Naya is his relative.

Assem discovers that Naya's mother has left her nursing home. When he discovers that Naya took swimming lessons at a sports club, he realizes that Naya is alive and shoots Fady to force him to divulge her location. Karim asks Naya to ask Assem for a divorce but she refuses out of fear.

As Assem puts pressure on Fares and Laila to figure out the truth, Laila accuses Assem of killing Naya. Assem and Shahrzad get in an accident. Fares manages to escape and discovers that Naya is in Alexandria.

Naya learns that Assem found out about her being in Cairo. Karim tries to get Noha away from Naya by sending her to supervise a remote project. Assem dies.

Fady asks Gubran to stand by Manal in the wake of Assem's death. Engy and Hesham grow close and agree to wed. Naya thanks Karim for helping her move to Cairo.

Hesham asks Karim for Engy's hand. Manal quarrels with Fady and accuses him of being in love with Naya. As Karim announces his engagement to Naya, it's revealed that Assem is alive and is monitoring Karim and Naya.

As Assem keeps popping up in Naya's life, Karim tries to assure her that it's all an illusion. Assem takes advantage of Noha's devastation and claims to be an interior decorator. Gubran and Fady unsuccessfully try to tell Naya that Assem is in Egypt. Manal decides to go to her daughter in Paris.

Naya grows afraid when she finds her house organized in the way Assem preferred. As Noha starts wearing the same perfume that Assem forced Naya to wear, Naya finds a bottle of the perfume in her house. Noha leaves the company to work with Assem.

Naya passes out when she finds one of the dresses Assem bought for her in her room and then sees Assem in the mirror. She wakes up to find Karim who tells her that she sent him a message telling him to come. Assem asks Noha to invite Engy and Hesham to her house. Manal moves in next to Karim.

As Assem confronts Naya, Karim tries to convince her to see a psychiatrist. Manal decides to get rid of Naya whom she blames for getting Assem killed. Noha tries to get close to Hesham to take revenge on Engy.

When Assem breaks into Naya's house, she tells him that Karim is on his way. Karim is unable to find Naya when he arrives. Manal helps Assem kidnap Naya. Noha disapproves of Selim's relationship with her sister.

Assem takes Naya to Beirut and tries to evade Karim by moving between houses. Noha tries to drive a wedge between Hesham and Engy. Selim and Mai agree to wed.

Assem tortures Naya to get her to come back to him. When he threatens to take revenge on Karim, Naya threatens to kill herself if he hurts Karim. Karim shoots Assem to rescue Naya.
