Four pairs of B&B owners from across Britain take it in turns as hosts to decide which of their establishments provides the best value for money.
Seasons & Episode
This week's competition kicks off at The Sportsman in Whitworth, Lancashire, where Steve and Georgia are hoping to win over their guests with bargain rooms and big breakfasts.
Sarah hosts the second visit of the week at Lahtle Wood Glamping in North Yorkshire, where she is joined in her duties by her sister-in-law, also called Sarah. The B&Bers find themselves cooing over the cabins when they pitch up, but Steve and Georgia aren't sure about the value. After a visit to an old air raid shelter, Steve drops some truth bombs on the other B&Bers about what he really thinks about the accommodation. Come feedback time, the Sarahs contend with some difficult comments about prices
Joe hosts the third visit of the week, at the stately, Grade II listed Cley Hall Hotel in Lincolnshire. The B&Bers find themselves steeped in history, before letting out some anger as they try out blacksmithing but a noisy night drives Paul to distraction, and both the Sarahs get a little too hot under the collar.
The last visit of the week is to Bumble Barn Luxury B&B in Norfolk, where professional chef Paul and co-worker Debbie are looking to cook up a storm. Following a history lesson at an RAF museum, Paul indulges his guests by namedropping some of the illustrious people he's cooked for in the past. With expectations through the roof for breakfast, the pressure is on for him to deliver. However, some brutal feedback leaves Paul sharpening his extensive collection of knives ahead of Payment Day.
Payment Day sees backstabbing, blazing barneys, explosive confrontations and plenty of vendettas to settle. Steve and Georgia aren't happy with their breakfast scores, the Sarahs are angry about their hot tub's frosty reception, Joe's tossing and turning about his sleep scores, and Paul is ready to take everyone to task about some low blows in his feedback. When the dust settles, the winner is finally revealed.
This week's competition kicks off at Rosaire Guest House in Llandudno, where host Jo and her mum Pat are going for a home-from-home vibe.
Rachel and Liam host the second visit of the week at The Queens Hotel in Harlech. Professional impersonator Liam is hoping to impress with his impersonations but an issue in the bathroom gives Pat a sinking feeling.
Visit three is to The Mill at Glynhir in Llandybie, Carmarthenshire. Mat and Helen are hoping their renovated mill will fit the bill. At first, their guests struggle to find fault - until Pat discovers that standards in the bathroom may have slipped. Things get prickly during a visit to a botanical garden in the afternoon but it's at feedback time that the hosts have the biggest thorn in their sides.
The week's final visit is to Hideaway Escapes in Pembrokeshire, where sisters Lesley and Sarah are looking to inject a bit of colour into everyone's lives. The idea of getting back to nature bugs half of the B&Bers - and things get spicy when one set of guests refuse their room and take refuge in the car instead, leaving Lesley and Sarah all revved up come feedback time.
With facility failings, bathroom blues and even one set of B&Bers refusing to even try out one of their rivals' rooms all on the agenda, Payment Day is set to be a feisty occasion. It remains to be seen who will emerge victorious when the dust settles.
