The Buried Life
January. 18,2010The Buried Life is a reality documentary series on MTV. The series features Duncan Penn, Jonnie Penn, Ben Nemtin, and Dave Lingwood attempting to complete a list of "100 things to do before you die." The pilot episode aired on January 18, 2010, and the show was renewed for a second season in 2010. On Oct 25, 2011, The Buried Life announced they wouldn't be doing any more episodes of the show. However, the show's creators claim they are working on a "new and improved" show for the network based on the premise of the original series. Penn, Lingwood, Penn and Nemtin released their first book as The Buried Life, "What Do You Want to Do Before You Die?" on March 27, 2012. On the week of its release the book climbed to #1 on the NYT Best Sellers List.
Seasons & Episode
The guys attempt to streak the Kansas City Wizards soccer game. Meanwhile, Jonnie and Dave head to Douglas, where they help build a skate park memorial in honor of the four teens who died there within a year.
The boys, excluding Jonnie, land in Nashville to redeem the failure from Season 1, asking out the girl of their dreams which Duncan has his mind set on asking out Taylor Swift at the Country Music Awards. Meanwhile, Jonnie heads back to his hometown in British Columbia, to help an older gentleman find his soul mate that he lost contact with years ago.
The boys head to Vegas to help Dave find a bride within 72 hours and plan the most epic bachelor party to send him off into married life. But the craziness of Vegas doesn't stop Jonnie and Duncan from taking time to help Rick, a once successful but now homeless 47-year-old, who hasn't seen his daughter in 11 years, and has never met his granddaughter.
