The series premiered on February 14, 2013, preceded by the mid-season premiere of Comic Book Men and followed by the series premiere of Immortalized. The show was given a greenlight along with Immortalized on August 16, 2012. It was announced in April 2013 that the series has been renewed for a second season.

Chronicle
Chronicle is a BBC Television series shown monthly and then fortnightly on BBC Two from 18 June 1966 to its last broadcast in May 1991. Chronicle focused on popular archaeology and related subjects.
The best remembered episodes of Chronicle were "The Lost Treasure of Jerusalem...?", "The Priest, the Painter and The Devil" and "The Shadow of The Templars". These were presented by Henry Lincoln who later went on to write Holy Blood Holy Grail with Michael Baigent and Richard Leigh.

The show will focus on Challenge Day in various high schools. The series premiered on July 20, 2010 on MTV.

Mermaids: The Body Found is a mockumentary television program styled as a documentary originally aired on American TV channels Animal Planet (May 27, 2012) and Discovery Channel (June 17, 2012). It tells a story of a scientific team's investigative efforts to uncover the source behind mysterious underwater recordings of an unidentified marine body. The show presents the controversial aquatic ape hypothesis as evidence that mermaids exist, along with a digitally manufactured video. A sequel broadcast called Mermaids: The New Evidence aired May 26, 2013.
