Throughout a physical and temporal journey through Spanish lands, Footnotes is based on personal and family memory, which very soon becomes integrated into collective memory, to compile all types of voices, looks and gestures that speak of the Civil War. , Francoism, the transition and the present, in an attempt to discover the complex universe that revolves around the Spanish historical memory of the 20th century.
Blind
In a busy crowded railway station a man opens a tap to drink some water but leaves it closing properly.People are unable to listen the drop sound but a blind man heard it instead of the railway station's noise.He came by following the sound, closed the tap properly and came back. The film ends with, he again listen the same drop sound and opens his cane.
Al Zubarah
Al Zubarah tells the story of life in the old coastal city of Al Zubarah, one of Qatar’s most significant historical sites. From the break of dawn and the echo of morning prayer, the director, Abderrahmane Sissako travels with his audience through the alleys of the old city, into mosques, courtyards and markets, mapping the traditions and daily lives of one nation in a changing world. Goods are seen arriving on dhows from the sea and on camel caravans from the desert – through capturing a day in the life of the city the film articulates how a country became a global port with international visitors. The crisp clear pictures brushed with a special painting-effect across the film makes it feel timeless and eternal.

The teachers hear him out in silence; a passing grade is all he asks for. The film was conceived and produced as part of a film production course at Vodisca Teatro / La Scugnizzeria held by Gianluca Arcopinto and Vincenzo Marra.
