Ambu
Ambu is about a dying Golem warrior, searching for a way to fix his heart crystal. He meets Lefika, a young Golem girl, whose toy shares resemblance to Ambu. Ambu faces reality when he realizes that there is nothing that can fix his heart. In this moment, he decides to spend his last minutes laughing with Lefika. They play with her toy, only to be torn apart by villagers, who leave Ambu to die. Lefika finds Ambu lifeless and, in a moment, breaks a part of her own crystal, placing it in Ambu’s chest, thus bringing him back to life.

Its grainy, black and white texture vividly renders the elemental coastal seascapes where it was filmed. Langan & Le Cain appear as a couple who inhabit this wild terrain as if it were a domestic arena.

After Slow Action and Urth, this is the final part of a trilogy developed with American SF author Mark von Schlegell.
Petting Zoo
In 1974, a local TV news station crew came into the filmmaker Daniel Robin’s home during the Rosh Hashanah celebration to document it and learn about Jewish rituals. A narrative begins with the formation of American-Jewish identity. But then the director of this unexpected autobiography draws an analogy with the current rise in anti-Semitism and nationalism. He believes that in the United States the attitude towards unfamiliar cultures resembles the one people take towards animals in petting zoos, where one can safely touch and pet them.
