One of the players refuses to act according to the norms and thus undergoes a metamorphosis. The scenery changes surrealy. But does the man become different after changing his surroundings?
Antony Sher and Greg Doran in Conversation with Sue MacGregor
Sue MacGregor talks to Antony Sher and Greg Doran about their stage work together and their shared passion for Shakespeare. Over the last two decades the actor and director have collaborated on ten shows including Macbeth, Henry IV pts 1 and 2 and Death of a Salesman. In 2016 Doran will direct Sher in King Lear for the RSC, the company Doran runs. This is a rare chance to be in the audience for an intimate insight into a professional and personal partnership that is probably unique in British theatre.
Ile de Groix from the Sky
Go and live on an island in the third millennium? Far from the teeming cities and their overwhelming influence? Deliberately deprive oneself of mainland rhythms and access to anything, anywhere, any time? What an idea! And yet some have taken up the challenge. A crazy, offbeat, out of date challenge, or maybe one that is ahead of its time because life on an island is one that you create for yourself. Three new islanders realize that and have dropped anchor on Groix, an island in Brittany, rebellious but welcoming those who come to fulfill their project with an open heart: a doctor, because the island needs one; a divorced teacher who wants to rebuild her life; and an immigrant born of another Atlantic, who is so adaptable that he will be able to integrate. And so goes life on the island, which adopts unhesitatingly and offers its insularity as an identity.

Istvan (Atlan) Mandoki Konyr is an outstanding Turkologist of the 20th century, the founder of European Kypchak studies, the author of unique works on the history, culture and language of the Turkic peoples. He died at a creative peak in 1992. The Kazakhs called him "Konyr". This name became symbolic in Kazakh society in the 80-90s of the last century.

Meine Reise in die DDR - 25 Jahre später
About a journalist and his cameraman visiting East Germany, former GDR, 25 years later again after their journey which took place in January 1990, just between the Fall of the Wall and the reunification with West Germany, comparing the old pictures with the present of 2015 and meeting former interview partners a second time. An impressive work of time documentary showing seemingly surreal scenes about the changings of cities, industrial locations and lifes in different political and economical systems.
Rafah: al Tannur Neighbourhood Strike Methodology
Amnesty International and Forensic Architecture (FA) were denied entry into the Gaza strip, and as such our investigation into the bombardment of Rafah relied on thousands of images and videos shared online, or sent directly to FA, by citizens and journalists. Through a process of locating cameras and incidents within a digital model, and subsequent analysis of satellite and ground-level images, smoke clouds, shadows and impact craters, we mapped hundreds of air-to-surface and artillery strikes that hit the city of Rafah on 1 August. -FA
Malpartida Fluxus Village
The German artist Wolf Vostell and his family moved to a little village in Cáceres (Extremadura/Spain) in the seventies. In the middle of this primitive environment, he founded a contemporary art museum in connection with the local inhabitants, thus turning Malpartida into the first Fluxus village.

What constitutes a “disadvantaged youth”? Man Hang did have noble and lofty goals for his life after graduation, but they were quickly crushed by the harsh reality of life. Working an unglamorous job at a warehouse along a colleague with autism, Man Hang was bullied by his boss with unreasonable demands. His mind wanders back to his school days especially when he was seated next to Wing Lok, a classmate with autism who was constantly ridiculed and taunted by the class. During reunions, Man Hang and his friends mused on the irony: With all of them having similarly unremarkable careers, are their lives more fulfilling than Wing Lok who could remain true to himself?

O, o fille de l'o (2003/2004 - super 8 shot and edited in color, 3’54) In the river of a work started around the letters of my first name C A R O L E, which flows to the ear like some of the clear natural elements, this film follows a Lettrist tributary. The images from this lake of words plunge from the R into the O, onto the L of a boat, Afloat.
"O, c the water and the Bird, therefore O is the air, the R of nothing.“ This film followed the constraints of July / August 2003 with the image: a small film with the flow of water & sound creation of March 2003: a small film which plays with the words with the appearance of Éliane Raymond at the Geneva Science Fair.
Reason of Life
Reason of Life is the dark, foreboding tale that chronicles the downfall of a once successful schoolteacher after his son commits an unthinkable act - the murder of his own mother and the teacher's wife. Following his wife's death and his sons departure to prison, the teacher shuts down entirely and begins work as a lonely taxi driver, telling nobody about his story for the fear they may recognize him from the newspapers. Upon his sons release from prison, the teacher's fate is ultimately determined...
