Ein Sommer in Long Island
Business executive Nick Porter starts an affair with landscape architect Holly while jogging on his way to see his half-brother Benjamin 'Ben' Goldman, a reclusive author who inherited an estate from his father, also an author. Recommended by Nick, Holly comes to renovate the garden for Ben, whose aloof attitude bugs her, but actually she's his first love. Nick learns this and that Ben has terminal cancer but refuses treatment, feeling his life has no meaning, so Nick pushes Holly to pretend to be in love with Ben, who learns the truth in the worst possible way at the worst possible time.

After overseeing major projects as a construction manager for many years and having traveled all over the world, Peter is taking early retirement. With great media interest and the aid of the sympathetic journalist, Marc stokes, Anna enters the fight against the nearly all-powerful adversary in order to force Reents to give up.

Cinema's Exiles: From Hitler to Hollywood
Eight hundred German filmmakers (cast and crew) fled the Nazis in the 1930s. The film uses voice-overs, archival footage, and film clips to examine Berlin's vital filmmaking in the 1920s; then it follows a producer, directors, composers, editors, writers, and actors to Hollywood: some succeeded and many found no work. Among those profiled are Erich Pommer, Joseph May, Ernst Lubitsch, Fritz Lang, Billy Wilder, and Peter Lorre. Once in Hollywood, these exiles helped each other, housed new arrivals, and raised money so others could escape. Some worked on anti-Nazi films, like Casablanca. The themes and lighting of German Expressionism gave rise in Hollywood to film noir.

Young graffiti artists steal paints from a shop and, supervised by Tomasz, a 45-year-old graphic artist, start to paint graffiti on the wall. Tomasz is going to through a difficult period in his professional and personal life working under pressure from his employer who wants him to prepare a project that will satify the client. He has to compromise his own beliefs and taste and struggle to meet the deadline. The film was made as part of "Decalogue 89+" series.

He was a star of the scientific world. Over his years working amongst the tribes of the South Seas, he adopted 57 kids, bringing them to a new life in Washington DC. His adoptions were hailed as wonderful fatherly beneficence. But, at the height of his career, rumours began to spread he was a paedophile. Gajdusek would argue that if sex with children was okay in their own cultures, he wasn't wrong to join in. How could a great mind like Gajdusek's lose insight so totally, and why would the scientific community to which he was a hero be so quick to leap to his defence and dismiss the allegations? Sergei Parajanov, The Exile
Sergei Paradjanov, the great Soviet filmmaker of Armenian origin who was born and grew up in Tbilisi, Georgia, studied film in Moscow and worked for many years in Ukraine, talks on camera to Fotos Lamprinos about his life, his films, and events in the USSR under Gorbachev’s Perestroika, a few short months before he died and while the state of his health was already deteriorating. The film includes rare footage of the massacre of Georgian civilians by the Soviet Army in April 1989 and unpublished material from the Ukrainian prison in which Paradjanov served his sentence.
Whitefish
Whitefish is a thriller set in a closed Dutch fisherman's village community. Hans, a religious fisherman and his rebellious brother Stijn try to save their necessitous fishing boat. Their difficult relationship seems to put success in the way, until one day they catch a huge amount of drugs in their nets. Stijn badly wants to get rid of it, but Hans hesitates. Maybe their prayers are heard and this is the chance to get out of trouble? Or is Stijn's fear well grounded and is the real misery now only to begin..?

Tomek Matuszczak is one of the ten young directors which has taken the challenge of making new film on the Decalogue Commandment's impact for young generations, due to the project made on 20th anniversary of launching the famous "Decalogue" by Krzysztof Kieślowski.
