Getting Dirty

WE RIDE TO DC
It's 2013. The government is in shutdown mode, Obamacare is about to launch, a disastrous amnesty bill has passed in the Senate, unemployment is sky-rocketing, the IRS and Bengazhi scandals are at a boiling point, and the Parks Department is instructed by the Obama administration to barricade WWII veterans from visiting DC monuments. Meanwhile, 10,000 illegal aliens are invited to hold a rock concert rally just feet away on the Mall lawn. Veterans retailate by bringing the barricades back to the White House only be roughed up by riot police. The mainstream media fails to hold the president accountable. And so one grassroots protest after the next takes shape in DC but the mainstream media either ignores the events or distorts what takes place. I capture most of these events on camera in a way that nobody else does. Only FOX and THE BLAZE care to report my findings, the mainstream media ignores my footage.

The Everyday Ritual of Solitude Hatching Monkeys
Layered and manually altered 16mm footage intertwines with the soundtrack and the narrative, presented through subtitles, to tell the story of a man who moves away from the sea to escape death by water. He soon finds himself alone when his co-workers go to the beach and never return. Society becomes a stranger and his imagination becomes his only friend. He dials a random number and a romantic conversation about loneliness and the absurdity of reality ensues. His world starts acquiring meaning as he realizes part-time-singer monkeys are running the show.
Aftermath – The second flood
After the destructions that where caused by the tsunami, the insulars of an Indian archipelago are rolled over by another surge of ruination: the flood of international aid organizations, which pluck this premodern civilisation into the 21st century. The film depicts the partially heroic attempts of the Nicobareses, to live in this world without drowning.
