A audiovisual attempt at something like Roland Kayn's notion of "cybernetic music," in which the dynamics of the piece are generated on their own by the intermingling of feedback loops and the whole thing largely plays itself. The audio is a handful of sine waves being frequency modulated by other sine waves, the frequencies of which are being controlled by the values of various parameters in the feedback path, which change at random.
Who are you?
"Who are you?" is an audiovisual work made up of images and sounds that surface after haptic and scopic experiments have taken place. I find myself stitching hums, vibrations, colours, shapes, repetition and rhythms that invoke an inquiry inward.

Forgotten
Forgotten is an animated short film that offers a window into the isolation the elderly face when living alone. I was inspired to make this film against the backdrop of the pandemic and the growing criticisms of Canada’s response to keeping the elderly safe during this time. With an ageing population in various states of mental deterioration, many tragically didn’t fully grasp why family had stopped visiting during the pandemic. Drawn using traditional and digital media, Forgotten presents and explores one person’s loneliness, sorrow, and deteriorating grip on reality.

Letters to Burn
A firekeeper's role is the bridge between the living and the dead. A traditionally animated film set in 1980s Singapore, this story follows the firekeeper's day-to-day job in stamping letters to be sent by locals to their loved ones by burning it in a special fire. It then focuses on his interaction with a sullen, young boy who visits every evening. When the boy misses a chance to send a letter, a confrontation ensues, resulting in a bittersweet discovery of the boy's yearning wish.
