Instructions For Walking Around The City
A symphony of the city of Bilbao based on the famous documentary that Walter Ruttmann made about Berlin in 1927. Using various animation techniques, this is a digital watercolor inspired in the transparencies by Joseph Turner during his last period. The soundtrack is an original piece by the artist Xabier Erkizia that weaves together the sounds of the city streets with fragments of the poem by Miren Agur Meabe “Instructions For Walking Around The City" recited in eight languages.

Due to social unrest and the uncertainty of various immediate happenings, both the internet and physical spaces act as critical communication platforms of its own during this period. As such, information can be circulated in the community more widely and rapidly outside of the existing mainstream media. As time goes by, these materials are continuously altered, some were renewed, while the others were removed, covered with paint, or overlaid by other information.

With an ageing population in various states of mental deterioration, many tragically didn’t fully grasp why family had stopped visiting during the pandemic. Drawn using traditional and digital media, Forgotten presents and explores one person’s loneliness, sorrow, and deteriorating grip on reality.

Kosberg Worked
The story of those who made possible the first human flight into space, but remained behind the scenes. The heroes of the film are Semyon Kosberg and other engineers who worked in the Voronezh design bureau on the third stage of the rocket engine, without which the Gagarin spacecraft would not have entered orbit on April 12, 1961. Memories of Viktor Skachilov, the only surviving member of Kosberg's team, and archive photos are intertwined with animation and an inspired soundtrack created specifically for the film. "Kosberg worked" is about hard work for the sake of a great dream, about scientific breakthroughs and people who do the incredible.
