Hassan (A Film from Afghanistan)
Hassan runs a nonprofit lotto company to treat poor youth with heart diseases. After feeling hopeless and struggling to adjust in the new country and culture, the young couple decides to follow their dreams and passion and return to their homeland and to re-establish the lotto company in order to help the children again.

A series of government’s repressive actions, together with the 709 Crackdown in 2015, have severely damaged the rule of law in China, and inevitably changed the fate of human rights defenders. Being forced to live in exile, lawyers and their families have jointly borne the pain of repression no matter if they are inside or outside the country. Raízes - A Piano in the Amazon
The pianist Carla Ruaro and her team embarked on a 40 days expedition which involved hoisting a piano onto a boat and traversing the Brazilian Amazon. In collaboration with local composers, the aim of this independent project was to take contemporary Amazonian music to remote riverside communities and an instrument they've never seen before. Through the acquisition and transportation of the instrument to the workshops and musical presentations for the communities along the river margins, the project also strengthens the bonds with hold together the riverside communities, an appreciation of the value of communities and artists.

We follow him inside the skeletal infrastructures of skyscrapers, ride along to record a song in Nashville at Third Man Records, enter his private creative sanctuaries, and examine the many unique artifacts he's collected throughout his journeys.

Big Wata
The younger inhabitants of a fishing village in Sierra Leone have discovered surfing as their raison d’être. Wanting to break free from the restrictions of a traditional West African community a suspended surfclub member embarks on a journey. Only to return with a new found appreciation for the place he so badly wanted to leave. Big Wata is a positive story (from Africa) about some local boys trying to ‘expand’ their lives through surfing. We aim to take the viewer to Sierra Leone and experience ‘normal life’ in a small village. We have filmed the characters from an extremely close angle in all their activities and tend to zoom out more with shots from stunning landscapes while travelling to Liberia.
