Minutes
An attempt at escaping the dreary daily routine results in wondrous imaginary journeys through space and time. Zlatka is following a dream and young girl’s illusions of her own, and when she arrives to the end of this road (the end of the world), Zlatka tries to cross this boundary, but succeeds only partially. Her imaginary journey is continued by the character of Anima, a fairylike butterfly creature who knows no limits or boundaries. The world she travels is colourful but empty, two-dimensional and frozen in a moment in time.

On 1st July 2011 Montreux hosted the reunion of two master guitarists Carlos Santana and John McLaughlin with their Invitation To Illumination concert. Both musicians have been regulars at Montreux across the years but this was the first time they headlined their own concert together. The show features most of the tracks from their classic 1973 album Love Devotion Surrender mixed in with a wealth of other material. The evening was a showcase of supreme musical virtuosity and spirituality and typified the approach of these two great artists. It is certainly a performance not to be missed.

Grave Digger: Live At Graspop
The Grave Digger is back! Their previous GMM show dates back to 2007 but now the German power metal giants are back for take three. Grave Digger is about solid riffs, ripping solos, a driving rhythm section and of course frontman Chris Boltendahl’s typical raw vocals. Ever since the early 80s, Grave Digger has regaled us with tales of Excalibur, the crusades, Wagner’s operas and even Jesus Christ. Last year, they added ‘Clash of the Gods’ to their repertoire. The riffage is appropriately unrelenting and the album as a whole is reminiscent of their excellent Rheingold CD (2003). They’ve got more than enough ammunition for a scorching live show so be sure to check them out this summer! .
The Shellhouse Raid
On 21. March 1945, a mysterious accident transforms one of the Second World Wars most complex air strikes into a disaster when British bombers attack Shell House, the Gestapos Head Quarters in Copenhagen. The intension was to destroy the Gestapos archives which contained extensive information, enough for the Nazis to crush the Danish Resistance Movement. But by mistake, some of the British aircraft bomb a school in Frederiksberg where 86 children are killed; in total the attack costs the lives of nearly 200 people, the greatest loss of life on a day during the occupation. With the help from the Leading Navigator on the attack, Edward Sismore DSO, DFC, AFC, experts, eye witnesses and survivors, this documentary tries to recreate the event and determine what went wrong.
