The Incredible Bionic Man
From bionic arms and legs to artificial organs, science is beginning to catch up with SF in the race to replace body parts with man-made alternatives. How to Build a Bionic Man follows psychologist Bertolt Meyer, who has a bionic hand himself, as he meets scientists working at the cutting edge of research to find out just how far this new technology can go. Now, thanks to research on advanced prosthetic arms and legs, as well as artificial eyes, hearts and lungs - and even hybrids between computer chips and living brains - scientists can finally replace body parts and even improve on human abilities. While Bertolt's search shows just how far science has come, it also asks questions about what it means to be human and where this technology could lead in the future.
How to Disappear Completely
A young girl from the countryside dreams of disappearing. She plays a lonely game of hide-and-seek while her mother quotes the Bible and her father relishes in alcohol and history. She decides to put on a stage play based on an old Filipino film about a family who disappears in the mountains during the war. But soon after the performance, she vanishes from the car, prompting her parents to look for her in the woods. One by one, they all start to disappear.
Safari, Witchcraft & Murder
In March 2011, a young British pilot, David Simpson, was arrested for mass murder in Africa. David was born and brought up in the idyllic village of Gillamoor, but he didn't want to take over the family pheasant farm, so he landed a job with an exclusive safari company in the Central African Republic (CAR). CAR has endured decades of unrest, and armed rebel groups roam the country, but for David, working in one of the world's last remaining wildernesses was a dream come true. However, as he opened up the bush for big game hunters, relations between the safari company and the local population became increasingly hostile. Villagers used the new roads to access rivers deep in the bush and start illegal gold mines. After a number of escalating confrontations between David and the miners, 13 men were found massacred at a gold mine.

The wealthy hosting family rather than being helpful eventually causes unsolvable clash between Bahram and Fariba. This captivating film exposes the problems of illegal immigration; spouses' conflicting attitudes towards behaving in a foreign land as well as a tough dilemma whether to remain loyal to one's roots and beliefs or to earn a better life through dodgy actions.

Then the American ornithologist George Archibald turned to Soviet scientists led by Vladimir Flint with a proposal to cooperate in the protection of the white Siberian crane. This species was little studied and was considered endangered. Since then, we know much more about white cranes. Now on Earth there are two disparate populations of Siberian Cranes. One is East Siberian. These birds nest in the north of Yakutia and migrate to China. There are more than three thousand of them, and in the near future they are not threatened with extinction. A few thousand kilometers away, another population of Siberian Cranes lives. They nest in the lower reaches of the Ob, and fly to India or Iran for the winter. There are only twenty of them left. This film is about how people are trying to save this West Siberian branch of white cranes.
