Rock Milestones: Pink Floyd: A Momentary Lapse of Reason
Released in 1987, this was the first post-Waters era record, and followed a lengthy court battle between the estranged Roger Waters with Dave Gilmour and Nick Mason as they tried to resurrect Pink Floyd from the wreckage that followed The Final Cut. Seen by many as a transitional album Momentary lapse was really the creation of Dave Gilmour as he tried to pull the band back together in a sea of acrimony. It may have received mixed reviews from the critics, but the album went on to hit Quadruple Platinum and created the platform for a hugely successful world tour. Romeo Santos: King of Bachata
KING OF BACHATA, directed by Charles Todd and Devin Amar, and produced by Sony Music Latin, Chimby Productions and Scheme Engine, combines the making of and best moments of this ambitious concert with the travels of Dominican late-night host, writer and comedian, Joel “The Kid Mero" Martinez as he journeys to the Caribbean nation to find the soul of bachata. Mero’s journey takes us to the restaurants and bars of the countryside of the Dominican Republic, where the sound originated and retraces its rise to international recognition. We also get a behind-the-scenes look at Santos’ creative process, his inspirations, and his tireless work in the studio. This documentary film and concert is a love letter to the genre, inspired by Romeo’s Utopia album. Featuring surprise performances from Cardi B and Aventura, the concert is a once-in-a-lifetime celebration of Latin culture and a defining moment in the history of Latin music.

Pink Floyd: Animals (2018 Remix)
The iconic 1977 Pink Floyd album has been remixed for the first time by James Guthrie. Animals is a concept album, focusing on the social-political conditions of mid-1970s Britain, and was a change from the style of the band's earlier work. The album was developed from a collection of unrelated songs into a concept which describes the apparent social and moral decay of society, likening the human condition to that of animals. Taking inspiration from George Orwell's Animal Farm, the album depicts the different classes of people as animals with pigs being at the top of the social chain, dropping down to the sheep as the mindless herd following what they are told, with dogs as the business bosses getting fat on the money and power they hold over the other. Although it's been a long time since 1977, the narrative of the album still resonates today as our social and economic situation mirrors that of the time.

The Metropolitan Opera: The Hours
Renée Fleming makes her highly anticipated return to the Met in the world-premiere production of Pulitzer Prize–winning composer Kevin Puts’s The Hours, adapted from Michael Cunningham’s acclaimed novel. Buck Boswell and his all-girl troupe are stranded in Paris, but Buck manages to con the manager of the 'Hotel de Navarre' in furnishing accommodations for his group, but the proprietor's wife locks them out. In his search for funds, Buck meets Patricia Harper, the fourth-richest girl in the world, but he isn't aware of that and thinks she is penniless. Patricia joins his troupe as a lark, and her father, James Harper, also pretends he is broke. Through some chicanery, Buck gets jobs for the girls as models at the Palace of Feminine Arts at the Paris International Exposition. James Harper borrows the priceless Napoleaon necklace to have a copy made for his daughter, but Buck thinks he stole it.

Multi Grammy Award-winning singer Michael Bublé celebrates the holiday season with his fourth annual NBC Christmas special, "Michael Bublé's Christmas in New York," airing Wednesday, December 17 at 8/7c. Barbra Streisand, Ariana Grande, Miss Piggy and the Rockettes join Bublé for an hour-long celebration of Christmas, his favorite holiday. Song selections include festive classics such as "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas," "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)," "All I Want for Christmas Is You" and more. Bublé will be also accompanied by his band for an "unplugged" series of songs requested by his social media followers, including "I'll Be Home for Christmas," "Cold December Night" and "Blue Christmas."
