Amor
Amor
A summer evening twenty-five years ago: the city is deserted, the final of the FIFA World Cup is underway. A woman, Teresa, comes down to the Tiber and lets herself be carried away by its current. She is swallowed by the river and her daughter Virginia crosses Rome in the dark of the night: she wants to find her and save her. Virginia has to make her way through the depths of the waters, of the history, myths, calamities and gleams of life of a timeless Rome. And so she is able to see again her mother, who emerges from the darkness of the Tiber to fly toward AMOR, “the planet of care” surrounded by water where the streets, squares and fountains remind her of Rome and animals are free to wander around.

Vibrations from Gaza offers a glimpse into the experiences of Deaf children in the colonized and confined coastal territory of Gaza, Palestine. Born and raised under siege and frequent onslaughts these children, including Amani, Musa, Israa, and others, provide vivid accounts of their encounter of bombardment and the constant presence of drones in their sky. The children describe their perceptions of missile strikes through sensing vibrations in the air, trembling of the ground, and the resonance of collapsing buildings. The film also questions whether the deafness of these children is a natural or a consequence of Israel’s use of sonic weaponry, such as sonic booms.

Terakota Batujaya
The Batujaya Temple in Karawang revolutionized the notion that terracotta buildings from the Hindu-Buddhist period came from a younger period than andesite. Sites stretching from prehistoric times to the 10th century are evidence of the archipelago's cosmopolitanism since the early century AD based on the Citarum River. The discovery and interpretation of it were also guided by Indonesian archaeologists, long after the colonial antiquities department had led archaeological missions in the past. This film is a poem for ancient terracotta, soil, archaeologists and the citizens of Batujaya today.
