Pietro il grande
Pietro Coccia (1962-2018) was one of the most talented photojournalists of Italian cinema, with a career that lasted over thirty years. Pietro il Grande is a tribute to the professional photographer and friend of all the leading figures in our cinema over the course of more than three decades: a career reconstructed in about four hundred images accompanied by eight great scores to re-create the special magic of photos of the world of cinema.
Make Sure the Sea Is Still There
My projects often come about from traveling, which was not possible in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead, I attempted to travel vicariously through the webcams of the Icelandic Road and Coastal Administration, capturing screenshots on my phone and editing them with videos I had recorded during the pandemic and on previous trips to Iceland. I found time and landscapes moving strangely, if at all—seeming to mirror our new reality of sudden isolation, tragedy, and the utter unknown.

Born to an Algerian father and a Sicilian mother in Tunisia, I have always been wealthy of three cultures. This motherland is where were born my Algerian ancestors when it was called Ifriqya but also my Sicilian grand-parents whose parents were part of the important migration flux of the beginning of the last century. A reservoir of workforce by the thousands reached the shores of this "promised land". A hundred years later, I embark on a quest to rediscover my Sicilian family, exiled for the past sixty years, scattered between Italy and France.

Striving to visualize the physical and psychological manifestations of his disease, Dean ponders the interrelated themes of time, aging and illness in a number of new works. When his partner, artist Martha Fleury, is diagnosed with an aggressive form of ovarian cancer, he folds her threatening tumour into his installations as well. Creating works of various scales, including defunct animatronic figures from a decommissioned Ontario Place amusement ride, he evokes a sense of wonder and awe. Builders, Housewives and the Construction of Modern Athens
A documentary about the most distinctive Athenian building type, the polykatoikía, and the reconstruction of the city through the life of the anonymous regular builders. Who were the provincials who came to Athens with their wives after the Civil War and ‘cemented’ the city? Who ‘demolished’ the neoclassical buildings and filled Athens with apartment buildings? Ηow did they learn and develop their craft? How did they communicate and negotiate with the architects, the ‘educated’? In other words, what was the story of their encounter with the ‘project of modernity’? Sine die
In 1966, a U.S. B-52 bomber and a tanker plane crashed into each other over the village of Palomares in southern Spain. The plutonium in the bombs carried by the B-52 was spread over a wide area, and today it still lies buried 20 feet underground, surrounded by desert landscapes and fenced enclosures. This has major health implications for the local people, including filmmaker Camila Moreiras. The Spanish landscape and Moreiras’s body come together in parallel stories of recovery and survival—land and body alike must adapt, whatever the cost.

The documentary looks at the presence of many northeasters, in this region called Bixiga, known for its Italian presence, claimed in its black and indigenous memory.

Produced by national news channel VTV, "Ranh Giới", meaning "borderline", refers to the line between life and death.

Tugging Diary documents a footbridge over a year between August 2019 to January 2021. Due to social unrest and the uncertainty of various immediate happenings, both the internet and physical spaces act as critical communication platforms of its own during this period. As such, information can be circulated in the community more widely and rapidly outside of the existing mainstream media. As time goes by, these materials are continuously altered, some were renewed, while the others were removed, covered with paint, or overlaid by other information.
Moacir y yo

And One in the Field is a Warrior
The story is about the indigenous small-numbered people of the Far East - the Ainu, who from time immemorial lived on the Japanese Islands, Sakhalin Island, the Kuril Islands and the south of the Kamchatka Peninsula. The fate of the Ainu people is difficult: according to historical documents, the Ainu were the most numerous ethnic group in the Far East. But at the end of the XIX and the beginning of the XX century, some of the Ainu were assimilated by the Japanese, and some mixed with the Russian population of the Far East. At the moment, the Ainu living in Russia, while preserving their identity, are not included in the list of indigenous small-numbered peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East and are fighting for the inclusion of the Ainu people in the state document of the Russian Federation.
Life & Life
