Santelmo
Encyclopaedias describe St. Elmo's fire as a harmless meteorological phenomenon caused by a strong static discharge. In Philippine mythology, a "santelmo" is a wandering soul of a deceased person who has not found peace yet. Similarly, young men wandering through countryside seek in vain reconciliation with the world in this hypnotic black and white poem that resembles the work of Lav Diaz because of its contemplative pace. The three young men, whose aimless journey is accompanied only by rustling of leaves and grass, chirping of insects, and singing of birds, speak about people for whom they have suffered and whom they plan to take revenge on. Yet, they are prevented from freeing themselves by memories that cannot be killed.

Sons of Cain
"Sons of Cain" is set in a small village in northern Albania. In this place time is suspended and the severe rules of an old code (Kanun) still dictate the life and death of the inhabitants. A group of seven children obliged to live under this code meet and discuss the story of Cain and Abel. Creating their own dream space, partially consciously and partially not, they create an analogy between their own stories and Bible stories. Stuck on the fine line between reality and forgetfulness, this is one of the few chances they have to come to grips with their traumas and emotions.
Beautiful Solution
The film poem about pesticides reflects on the return to the natural food chain, in which insect pest serve as food for the higher order. The harmonic cycle of life and death, the temple that is the wildflower field resounding with the inebriating sound of crickets chirping and wheat spikes rustling in the wind, is invaded by the human, the ultimate consumer with no natural predator.

The Art of Whistling
The film chronicles the life of author Thorvald Steen, who suffers from facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy; a rare waste disorder that gradually and irreversibly paralyzes his body. The disease, however, has never stopped Thorvald. He is still an active public debater, freedom of speech advocate, author and cultural communicator, although his ski jumping days are over. Through Thorvald's own wonderful sense of humor and storytelling abilities, the film paints an intimate and poetic picture of an unusual life and the man who's still very much enjoying it. The well-known Norwegian photographer Per Maning has followed Thorvald with his camera for 25 years and documented Thorvald's development. The result is a unique and rare portrait of the meaning of life.

The Making of the Black Lives Matter Mural in Minneapolis
When George Floyd was murdered by Minneapolis police, the Minnesota African American Heritage Museum and Gallery (MAAHMG) posted a call to action on social media seeking artists to curate a mural in front of the museum in the historic Black neighborhood on Minneapolis' Northside to affirm that Black Lives Matter. Sixteen artists answered the call, and spent one day painting the mural, which became a symbol of solidarity, hope and healing for the community and those fighting for racial justice.
