Postcard (Or, from afar, you are a mirage)
"The palm trees on the reverse are a delusion; so is the pink sand". This line, taken from a poem by Margaret Atwood, lights the path traced in "Postcard". As the years go by, landscapes transform, take on new meanings, and hold onto joys that will never be regained. The sea and the beach, once stages of happy summers, romances, and encounters, will turn into concentration camps or centers of detention and torture. This occurs across different times and places. In this piece, I embark on a journey through some of my works that explore the relationship between testimony, spaces, and time, engaging in dialogue with the beautiful film directed by Alejandro Segovia in 1972.
The Snow Between Us
Inés travels to Kiruna, a town on the Swedish Arctic Circle, more than thirteen thousand kilometers from Uruguay. She revisits her past of exile captured in hundreds of handwritten letters, written between her and her father, imprisoned for 14 years. Letters in which they shared dreams and difficulties, fighting against absence, where writing and family became a bridge to be together, wherever.
Eyes
This is about a group of blind people during their rehabilitation in the mountains. It is based on interviews with totally blind and visually impaired people, where they talk about their lives, their desires, and dreams. Having gathered from different cities of Ukraine, they came to the rehabilitation center in the Carpathians, where they showed how they know how to live... how they do sports, go hiking in the mountains, have fun, dance at discos, travel with an excursion to another city. During their stay at the rehabilitation center, they become very close and do not want to part.

Building on Forensic Architecture’s previous investigation into herbicidal warfare and its effects on Palestinian farmers along the eastern perimeter of the occupied Gaza Strip, this investigation marks Land Day in Palestine by examining the systematic targeting of orchards and greenhouses by Israeli forces since October 2023. Our analysis reveals that this destruction is a widespread and deliberate act of ecocide that has exacerbated the ongoing catastrophic famine in Gaza and is part of a wider pattern of deliberately depriving Palestinians of critical resources for survival.

This process is called prior authorization and it can be used by profit-seeking insurance companies to create intentional barriers between patients and the health care they need. "At best, it’s just a minor bureaucratic headache. At worst, people have died. "Prior authorization has been around for decades, but doctors say its use has increased in recent years and now rank it as one of the top issues in health care. This documentary thus unveils a darker side of India, far from its portrayal as the world's largest democracy and Gandhi's dream of peace among communities.
Precious
Directed by Paris-based filmmaker Joaquim Bayle, PRECIOUS builds on Carhartt WIP’s last full-length skate project INSIDE OUT, which was released in 2022. The name of the project derives from the delicate yet gruelling process of shooting tricks on film. “Now that I understand skateboarding a little more, I wanted to pay tribute to its subversive form, its poetic form,” says Bayle of the feature, describing a “precious feeling I had when I started skateboarding and which, as I have gotten older, I've tended to forget.” In encapsulating this, he employs a multi-sensory approach. Warm, gauzy footage is punctuated by shutter clicks and black and white photography. Quiet moments of reflection are interrupted by the sound of wheels on concrete. Softly spoken word drifts in and out of a soundtrack of sludge metal and synthwave.
