November 14, 1951, the left bank of the Po river a few hundred meters from the Padua-Bologna railway bridge breaks. The tide invades the Polesine's lands in a few minutes, one of the poorest regions in Italy at the time. Thousands people, men, women and children flee while the water remains stagnant for months between the houses and the countryside. Today, 70 years later, the children of that time remember those months immortalized by the films perfectly preserved in the Istituto Luce's archives.

The younger Zhora worries that he has become a burden to the family and is trying to learn self-sufficiency. But it is important for a mother to help her son Zhora. His smile matters. And for her, this is happiness and the fulfillment of her dreams.

They get to work on a new project inspired by Federico Fellini’s Ginger and Fred, and bring in Emanuele, Monica, Francesco, Martina, and Andrea. First, tap dancing classes, as the script comes together one day at a time, with rehearsals in Rome, Rimini and France, in theaters shut down by Covid-19. Euphoria is running high, despite the uncertain times, and our theater troupe starts to resemble a gaggle of shipwreck survivors, bewildered by the way real life gets confounded with what is tentatively shaping up as the stage production.

A documentary telling about the life of the most inconspicuous, but ones of the most important people in theatre. Prop masters, make-up artists, costume and lighting designers – they all don’t receive the proper praise.. but on the other hand, where is their creativity? About this and many other secrets of the cult Moscow theatre RAMT in the film by Matvey Nikolaev and Elena Tyukhanova. Filming took place at the Russian Academic Youth Theatre on June 28-29, as well as on November 4 and 6, 2021 in Moscow. Mounting was produced in January 2022. On February 6, a draft version of the film was released, but later the premiere date was postponed to February 16, due to a request to remove the scene of Elena Tyukhanova at the end of the costume part, where she leaves a historical photograph for the students of “Class-Center”, hugging Polina Lashkevich and Marianna Ilyina-Baltika. This version is kept private on YouTube and is 13 seconds longer.

An average teenager who lives in an ordinary city embarks on an adventure that takes him across three realms. The first world represents his house and close friends. The second depicts society and its battle for survival. He grew up in the community where he was viewed as inferior. His school experience wasn’t his best time as he was constantly bullied and underwent changes due to puberty. The proper sex education wasn’t provided by his school. The violence and indifference he witnessed in two worlds piqued his interest in discovering his own world of freedom and harmony. At one point, the pressure incoming from two worlds has finalized his decision to proceed his new journey into the third world.

Bandits of the Ballad
“A burned-out group of Brno intellectuals decides to go to Kolochava in Ukraine to perform ‘A Ballad for a Bandit’ there.” With these words, the author's collective presents their film, in which they use primarily documentary imagery to compose a lyrical grotesque about an epochal trip, which might be their goal. But it doesn't have to be. The main tool of expression here is the film’s edit, which places various shots, statements, and meanings next to each other, often in a sort of productive conflict. Just like in a poem, the “poetic function” of art and its ability to serve as the primary tool for expressing beauty is manifested in full force before our very eyes.

Gedeon Gerlóczy played an important role in Hungarian architecture between the two Wars. Simultaneously with his flourishing career, he brought Csontváry's paintings to life. In 1919, he finds them, falls in love with the paintings, and buys them from the painter's cousin. For 56 years, he worked hard to preserve them and makes the oeuvre known. We get to know his career, and at the same time the painter comes to life.
