A documentary project that aims to capture the uncapturable. Explain what cannot be explained. How does one decipher fado? How is it conceived? They say one is born a fado singer, but how do you define what one feels? Does it emanate from within? Many Eastern masters believe that knowledge can only be gained in person. Could it be that through technology we can capture the timeless presence of a master and feel their knowledge? This is a documentary that tries to explain what fado is, to those who know it and those who don't, from the inner point of view of the 'maker' of fado. From the composer to the guitarist, including those who sing it and those who study it. And so, through these testimonies, we can explain the invisible. The inner side of Fado.

Seen by some as an eccentric conman, he was ridiculed for his extravagant assertions, which he held until his tragic end. But Lasseter remains the embodiment of the Australian folk hero, who lived a life full of incredible adventures, tall tales and outrageous claims – including a possible faked death and his insistence that he designed the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
Kurdish Lover
The Kurdish lover is Oktay, the man with whom I share my life. We went to his village in Kurdistan, a region brought to a standstill by war. At this place, loving someone can become confused with having a hold over them. A shaman goes into trance in front of the television, a hermit dreams of marriage, a shepherdess wants to leave the top of the mountain, soldiers watch over the village, a man from Europe goes off to request the hand of a young woman. It is through these situations that we discover the reality of families doing what they can to find a way of living together, to take the best – or the worst – from each moment.
