In the summer of 2021, the Finnish men's national football team played in the World Cup for the first time. Two of Finland's matches were played in St Petersburg, which was simultaneously ravaged by a virulent new variant of Covid19 disease. Despite the advice from the government to stay at home, thousands of fans made the trip to the city. Covid Cowboys documentary tells the story of these supporters and the aftermath of what happened, when on one side of the scale were the historic dream of generations and the health of themselves and their loved ones in the other.

(in defence of Cuban socialism)" is a short documentary looking at the latest imperialist assault on the Cuban revolution following protests against shortages across the island in mid-July. The film offers a defence of Cuban socialism, looking at the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the US blockade on the nation's economy, as well as the broader strategy being deployed against Cuba socialism by the Biden administation.

They Are Here
The film traces four singer-songwriters and two bands. Sara Renar, Nina Romić, Billie Joan, Mary May, Punčke and Seven Mouldy Figs share their experiences about the position of women in the music industry. Their stories intertwine and diverge but they all share a passion for music. They speak out about the discrimination they have faced, the problems with traditional record companies in the 21st century and the role of social media in their careers, and openly discuss the motivation and inspiration that drives young women to make music. They prove that music is not an all-boys club in which women are just passive consumers or attractive interpreters of works written by more capable and talented men. They raise their voice, for themselves, and all the generations of young women who will follow in their footsteps and present their work to the public.
Goodbye
Two years ago, Asya from Moscow met Zhanybek, a taxi driver from Kyrgyzstan. They fell in love and began to live together. At the beginning of 2021, Zhanybek flew home for a month, and upon his return, he learned that he was banned from entering Russia for two years due to administrative violations - smoking in the wrong place, improper parking and driving with broken headlights. Asya followed her beloved man to Kyrgyzstan to discover an unknown country, about which we hear so often and do not really know anything. The film began as a video for a new song by the band "Zorkiy", and became a portrait of two people trying to be free in a very unstable world, shot by the band's lead singer Vasily Zorkiy and cameraman Adeline Dzivaeva.

A documentary short film compiling multiple interviews with young Oregon retail employees who discuss their experiences working in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States throughout 2020 and into 2021.
OK Good, Pinega
The vast territories beside the Pinega river in northwest Russia are covered by woods and inhabited by more wild animals than people, besides a few villages who live mostly from the forests, fishing, and gardening. Society here can only be described as a matriarchy, where beliefs, spells, and traditional rituals are passed down the female line. Musical contributions from village residents serve as a leitmotif for the film: unsteady renditions of old songs that reveal performances belonging to a distant past. The population of these communities has aged considerably — but the place itself is timeless.
Courage
Maryna, Pavel and Denis belong to an underground theatre group in Minsk, Belarus. In the course of the 2020 presidential elections, they take part in the peaceful mass protests, together with thousands of people. They narrowly escape arrest and torture. What unites them is the hope for freedom of speech and democracy.
One-room School
Grecia from Venezuela, Linda from Vietnam and Andriy from Ukraine are pupils of META, an inclusive school that supports the integration of young migrants into Czech society. Their families were brought to the Czech Republic by different circumstances and each of them has different ideas about their own future. While eighteen-year-old Andriy, an ambitious boxer, wants to become independent as soon as possible, and Grecia, an artistically gifted student, would like to get into an art high school, Linda is still not sure what she wants to do with her education and career. The time-lapse documentary engagingly captures an important stage in the lives of young people for whom not only the language barrier, but also the long-term lockdown due to the coronavirus epidemic is an obstacle.
It's My Secret, But You All Have to Know It
The main character is an aspiring actress. Her sensible self-reflection on camera, in conversations with a friend and with a psychologist reveals painful personal trauma as an endless material for life and creativity, from which she can’t get out. The typical problem of a girl who ran away to the capital, a stranger in her native family, is uncover in a fragile chamber story with a blurred border between the haunting past, roles in the theater and everyday life.
Reminiscences
Maung Okkar grew up in a film studio compound amid a family of filmmakers. Reminiscing on the involvement of his family, grandparents and uncles in the Myanmar film industry of the 1980s, Okkar reflects on both the intense creativity of the period and the political conditions against which artists struggled.

The Green Land

Teitur – Storymusic
Teitur left the Faroe Islands as an ambitious teenager who wanted to find a better place to make music. After a long and successful music career abroad, Teitur returns back to his home country populated by only 50,000 inhabitants. His goal is to create an album with local musicians, many of them amateurs. In his search for the style for the album, he realises that he has been longing for the simple things in the culture and traditions of the islands.
