An Americano Love Story
Andrew starts a new job right after his breakup, in a new neighborhood, to start fresh. His first day on the job, he goes to a coffee shop right near his new work building. He orders a black americano and waits for his coffee. As he’s waiting, a woman walks up in line and seems to be a bit disheveled. She is rifling through her bag and drops her wallet, which Andrew then picks up. They start chatting and eventually sit down at a table and speak for a while. The woman’s name we learn is Mira, and she suddenly gets a call and runs out of the cafe before Andrew has a chance to say goodbye. All he is left with is the coffee cup with her name and order on it. He goes everyday and orders his usual order, and Mira’s, hoping she will come and sit with him again.

"Slice and Dice" is a suspenseful short film about Franz, a man cooking dinner in his kitchen. Strange noises unsettle him, and he becomes increasingly apprehensive as he investigates their source. Just as he reaches a state of terror, a killer clown emerges through the balcony door, causing Franz to scream in fear. However, he soon realizes it's only his roommate, who nonchalantly reveals his sinister activities as a serial killer.

The Maeng-Kong's cry, however, is not tied to a specific era that people yearned for. Their song simply echoes as their mating call rather than a political statement. The sound "Maeng-Kong-(Croak- Croak-)" howls; could we imagine a space of struggle and solidarity once more?
